Hi,

I am playing the bulge scenario, turn 1 was fast but turn 2 took almost 7 min to process and tunr 3 5min. The longest time without any sign of activity is after the IA Turn Attack phases, I still have the hand on the game (pressing num0-4 triggers a on screen message after 5s) but the next phase is not trigger for at least 1.5min. I didn't have any trouble with the tutorial scenarios.

I was wondering if it's my computer that is not fast enough or if there is a problem with the IA turn resolution.
I tried to upload my save and my DxDiag but the forum didn;t allowed me too

My config is updated with the latest drivers, I got a i7 2630QM CPU, 12Go RAM, Win7-64b and a nVidia GTX570m 1.5Go video card.

THANKS !

EDIT: I played to same scenario on the axis side this time and I don't have the 'pause' during the turn resolution. I started the same scenario on the Allied side and again I have the pause just after the last axis attack starting turn 2... if it helps.

I'm not clear if the delay is in the AI part of the turn, or in the following Allied logistics phase before you get to the Allied turn. The combined AI and logistics can take a long time, but usually not so long in the shorter scenarios. Can you post a save (as a zip file), or email one to 2by3@2by3games.com. A save at the start of the AI turn 2 would help since that appears to be the slowest.

hi,
I added the save game in the first post. The pause happens just after the first (and only) attack of the axis, IA Turn is stuck at 44% for 1m30s on my system. I didn't save the Turn 2 but the pause happens at the resolution of the Axis Priority Attacks (there were no attack after).

EDIT: I started a new game for this scenario and save just before turn 2, next turn is the Axis playing, the resolution of the Axis Priority Attacks took 5m10s on my laptop, the whole turn 10min.

I ran the save and it took about 4 minutes on my reasonably fast computer. Gary says part of your slow turn 2 is that it is using a special attack function in the first 2 turns of the scenario that takes a little longer than normal (turn 1 is always fast though because it is scripted). This turn 2 is running slower than the usual campaign turns for the Germans, so there may be something dragging this scenario down a little and I'll be sending the save to Gary so he can see if anything can be done to speed things up a bit. The game does slow down in the later months as the force levels get larger and the AI has a lot of calculating to do to figure out where it might attack.
