During Air Phase

1) Priority Repair your uboat\vbomb sites - Check your production screen, click your uboat(if in 43) (or vbomb factory\site when you reach 44\45) and do priority repairs in your biggest and most damaged sites (Costs AP). Keeping them healthy will in turn get you valuable negative VPS.

2) Check where the allies are bombing. Point down where your industry is getting hammered, but , as the game progresses, be especially careful identifying damage to ports. Damage to ports indicates a possible landing site.
Check combat results. See where the RAF bombers(night bombers) are hitting, and where the 8th US(day - high altitude) is hitting. Don't worry too much about the Strategic bombers in the Med until they have bases in mainland Italy, they are harmless when it comes down to strat bombing VPS.

3) Move heavy flak from threatened cities to prevent their capture (Costs AP). Normally, you don't want move the flak to your reserve, but from city to city, as its immensely cheaper. But in Sicily, this won't work, as you can't remove your 88s from the island (heavy flak in Catania, Messina, Palermo, Trapani, more then 100 guns) unless you spend a big ammount of AP. If you think its worth it, then first move them to your reserve, then to the areas you identified in point 2) or to mainland Italy.

4) Destroy depots from threatened cities. This will prevent damage to your trucks (as per the manual, haven't tested its effects in a scorched earth style of defense)

5) Remove all your auto generated Air Directives. Most of your air battles should be done without Air directives, with smart intercepts in areas where you know you will catch bombers with no or little escorts. Save your bombers. Pound the allies hard when they try to land with your reserve of TACB and LB.

6) You have a couple of air wings with serious problems. Look into fighter wings with Fw 190A-5. You no longer produce these crafts and have 0 in pool. Any casualties these groups take will not get replaced. Point down these wings and change their craft to Bf 109G-6 in the next couple of turns. Monitor your fighter (fighter bomber) pools carefully. If its getting too low, time to pull back.

7) Air Transfer your fighters.
7.1)First, look in your C. Report for fighters and patrol crafts in Luft.3 , IX Fliegr and II jagd that are in Western and Southern France. These crafts aren't doing anything for the next couple of months. Now, transfer their hq into II Flieger that has bases in South Itally. Go to Reggio Calabria airbase and change its HQ to II Flieger. Finaly, move the crafts to the new II Flieger bases close to sicily. They will start doing auto intercept and sea patrols soon.
7.2) Move a reserve of nightfighters to airbases near where you identified the RAF Bomber hits from 2)
7.3) Move a reserve of fighters to airbases near where you identified the 8th US hits from 2)

8) Look at your Leaders ledger in the Commanders report. Point down your priorities to replace in the next couple of turns. My tips:
Replace the leadership of Luft. Reich (5 air), II Flieger (5 air), IX Flieger (5 air), II JAGD (5 AIR) in this order. You have a couple of Air 7 commanders ready that will do a much better work.
As for ground leaders, all i say is that you have Guderian and Balck sitting in Berlin with no command.... find them a good seat near the action.

During Ground Phase
1)Open your garisson screen and look for problems. My tips:
Move 189th inf div. into SW France, to reach the CV goal.
Move 197th security into Bordeux, to secure it at 100%
You want your garisson VPS into negative values, keeps your cvs above the goals and soon those negative VPS will start ticking
