Lets see what I have learned from the arse whoopin you gave me....:rolleyes:


Both sides open with smoke bombardments, all in different areas.

Light GE recon forces advance and draw the fire of several aa and at guns. No harm done. :p

Recon units report that the Yanks brought mobile glue!
Horse burgers anyone?

3 jeeps lost, 1 recon patrol routed. :( .
Lots of smoke trails everywhere.
The german army has fully mobilised agains us.:D

Status: offline 		Ge forces focus on destroying US recon forces. 3 recon patrols, 4 jeeps and an HT are dispatched, casualties inflicted on a few others.

US 40mm AA guns are in good positions and take many shots at GE recon units. Poor Hans will have some explaining to do. He was joy riding in daddy's Kuebelwagon when it was taken out by an aa gun.

US brought some big guns to the fight. 155mm arty inflicts a few casualties.

Status: offline 		The americans continue their recon operations. Some recon patrols and countless jeeps lost.
There are some ATGs on the hills.
Killed one motorcycle squad and 2 snipers inflicted damage on another motocycle squad .

GE advance forces stumble upon all the stuarts in the US army!!!

A huge force of Stuarts, 75mm HT's and light forces have taken the northern VH and seem positioned to attempt a thrust through the German lines!

Forces are maneuvered into position to meet the threat!

Ge forces control the central and souther vh's. The only opposition seen along these fronts are recon forces, a few ht's, cavalry and aa guns...

In total, 4 recon squads, 2 jeeps, an ht, 3 stuarts and a 40mm aa gun are dispatched at the cost of a kubelwagon, a PzIIIe, and I believe an ht.

sztartur's turn should be ugly......for me,,,,lets hope the gods of op fire are smiling upon me tonight.....

Status: offline 		The US armored regiment began the attack on the northern flank.
9 Panzers 3 Sdkfz 222s 2 PZ jgs and 2 kuebelvagens and one mobile flack destroyed at the high cost of 7 Stuars, countless jeeps and recons, and one mobile ATG which did not go where I thought it would go.:rolleyes:

We control the northern hill and broke through the northern front.

The germans must have hired Rambo, otherwise I cannot explain how a tank could take more than at least 10 hits before it's crew bailed out and been harrassed...

Lets see what the german counter-attack has for us.

The US swarm hides in the smoke and dust.
Additional forces are moved into position to stop the advance!

3 stuarts, a 75mm ht, a jeep and a 3in at gun destroyed.:D

Due to the late start in this WC match, we agreed on no reinforcements......yeah, that was my bright idea:rolleyes:

This should be interesting!

Status: offline 		US armor continue the advance on the northern flank. On the northern hill a stalemate is going to begin. I spotted several tanks coming against us. The stuarts had a really bad luck this turn. Another panzer was playing Rambo again. The half of my army was not enough to kill him.
:o :o :o :o :o
The result 3 stuarts and some jeeps lost, killed 2 panzers, 2 mobile flacks. 2 HTs one motorcycle squad and 2 inf squads. not to mention the snipers and a kuebelvagen.

I am afraid the next turn will not be glorious for me. I spotted 9 panzers coming to us.:( :( :( :(

Status: offline 		The US blitzkreig is making a mad dash for the rear GE vh. :mad:

Panzers are rushed to the rescue, destroying 2 jeeps, 2 75mm ht's and 9 stuarts:D

There are still 20+ Stuarts, lots of jeeps and several platoons worth of 75mm ht's.:eek: :eek: :( :( :eek:

SP mortars lay down smoke to provide some cover against the invading green horde!

Status: offline 		US armor still advancing in the north. The bad luck continues only a mobile mortar killed. Lots of Stuarts routed.
We still control the northern hill.
Some small skirmishes on the southern front.

I have a bad feeling about my purchases.:(

Status: offline 		sztartur is attempting to hook around the norhtern flank of the rear GE vh. Having smashed through the norther ge defenses with a massive assault (3 companies of stuarts? + supporting units). GE forces pushing back! Last rounds kills seems to have taken some of the steam out of the assault, although he is putting alot of preasure onthe rear ge vh. Probing units back there have been destroyed but I am sure more will come this turn:(

It is hard to spot more targets with all the smoke, dust and burning stuarts!:D

I do manage to kill 3 more stuarts, 3 jeeps and a recon patrol. Casualties inflicted on other units.

More smoke dropped and arty called on various postitions!

Status: offline 		Americans make some probing this turn. One panzer killed by a mobile ATG :D :D :D One VH captured.
A spec ops squad is also harrassed when trying to do some sabotage behind the lines.
The rest of the troops are refitting.

Status: offline 		VH taken back and a stuart, at ht and a jeep die, along with numerous crews floating around. Put some hurting on several 40mm aa guns.

Ge forces positioning for the next wave that is sure to come after they reorganize.....:rolleyes: ..........still alot of stuarts out there.....:(

A stuart and jeep die along with more crews. More pain given to the AA gun crews....hopefully they have been convinced to walk off the job.

US arty switches to smoke.

A jeep, recon team and 2 stuarts die.

Left an ht fill of men out in the open:rolleyes:
I remembered that I left them there just as I was clicking the end turn button....I hate it when that happens...

Status: offline 		The final attack begun. Killed one panzer 2 motorcycle squads, a HT an inf squad, and an ATG. Lost many jeeps and 4 Stuarts and 1 mobile ATG. The german armor is very tough can take __many__ hits even from ATGs. I see some 10 of them so the odds are not really in my favor.

US forces have over run the rear GE vh in a massive clump of stuarts and 75mm HT's.

Not so massive anymore. :D
10 stuarts, 2 jeeps, 1 75mm HT and a "regular" ht die at the cost of a SPAA, one pv3h and a kuebelwagon (I love those little cars).

GE forces hook around behind the invading horde!

Status: offline 		This turn I attacked with all what I had. 1 Panzer one PZjg and one inf squad killed 3 Stuarts I mobile ATG lost.

I see no more reasons to continue so I give up. :o

Even though I succeded in surprising the opponent the composition of my forces was not good enough to take advantage of that. I also could have turned to defence but that would have made a long and boring game.:D
To be honest version 7.1 favors a the germans a little bit.

Of course that does not decrease the victory of my opponrt so I say:
Congratulations, Overlord.
