I've seen references in the message threads about another campaign version of this game. What was it and is it still available?

The other one you may be referring to is Campaigns of La Grande Armee 1806 which is one Frank did before Campaigns on the Danube. its almost impossible to get but someone was kind enough to give me a copy back when i was enquiring about it. its just a good if not better than the current one (i only say this though as i am waiting still for frank to update the beta patch for CotD)

I had the original ADANAC CotD CD and played under Win98. It was a dream, great game. I'm holding out hope like you that beta patch will be done soon.

easy if i recall - firstly lookup in google installshield 32bit setup.exe - get this, its pretty much like a key which can unlock alot of old games that were sold with 16but installers.

once you have this, insert the game cd and just copy paste its contents into a folder and in that folder on your computer, replace the old setup exe with the 32bit setup exe. Now, leaving teh cd in the drive, double click the 32bit setup and it should start he install process - it doesnt work if you dont also have the cd in the drive. i am not sure how this works but it does on quite a few games.

i am not sure if its necessary but i suppose also rename the 32bit installshield file to whatever the 16bit one is called - i suppose just 'setup' - once its installed then just play with the compatibility settings llike you would for any old game - and once you have it right, then its pretty self contained in the folder, you can move the folder around anywhere and it will just run fine - at least thats what i have found.

let me know how you go
