Hello

I searched a little but could not find a thread on this subject.

On enemy contact, we see fire coming from a Hex but no enemy marker designating the unit firing on you. As the battle progresses, we lose track of where the enemy fire came from. Can you guys place a enemy marker in the hex for one round. It does not have to be unit specific, just a reminded that enemy fire came from that Hex even if the enemy unit has moved.

Or even just highlight the Hex where enemy fire came from even if no enemy units are still in that Hex.

Thanks

We are looking at adding markers for FoW for those types of fading or intermittent contacts in 2.1.

I find nothing wrong with some fire coming from unidentified hexes. I'd support fire with only a hexside (or two) as being the only indication of where the fire is coming from.

It is a painful fact of life that one can take fire (including things like a platoon volley) and only have a sense of what general direction it came from.

We did not say it would be a 100% accurate marker...

In many cases units take fire without knowing where it comes from.

It's games that have you with the God Knowledge of where every piece on the map is. Who is firing at who with what factors.

With the Fog of War you should expect to take fire at times and not know who is shooting at you, what they are shooting with, or where they are shooting from.

Good Hunting.
