I was impressed by his thoroughly play and dedication but i read that he departed his life on 9 december 2014

When I heard the news over the holidays, I sent this to Lonnie's brother Tom. He will be missed.

Hi Tom,

Elliot passed along your e-mail regarding your brother Lonnie. I've been away for the holidays, so I just got the news. My condolences to you and to your family on Lonnie's passing. He was a great fan of the game who always amazed us with his ability to analyze the ins and outs of even undocumented parts of the design through his diligent play and careful testing. It was a joy to have him on our testing team and to see his progress through the saved games he uploaded. I'm glad that our work provided him some joy as well.

I have spent hours reading his analysis of
Distant Worlds and sort of felt I knew him
personally though I didn't.
I believe he has gone to a better place! :)

It is in moments like this that I realize that the human being behind a forum alias can actually fall sick and even die. I am so accustomed to the never deterring nature of digital avatars that I implicity somehow believe the humans behind them to be immortal. It always sweeps me off my feet if life lectures me otherwise.
