So I have been having the 8th AF do photo recon for both itself and bomber command because US fighters can escort the planes, which reduce my losses and increase attrition on the LW, and because both are using strategic recon option. However, I am wondering if bomber command is getting any of the information from the 8th AF recon. Do the various different airforces/commands/HQs share recon between themselves, or do I need recon planes under bomber command HQ to collect recon for bomber command rather then having recon under 8th AF HQ collecting recon for both?

I've been wondering this myself, very good question. I think it does however but I do not know for certainty.

IIRC pavel said yes.

My understanding is that all you are doing is generating a detection value for the hex, which is used when resolving combat etc.
