Sorry, but MAL files are actually "old" files. I have couple of these ones yet from early 2000s and they load/import fine in III.

the MAL files load fine, the .map files do not. Is there anyway to get these old .map files to load?

Are these the ones from TOAW I and/or the "small" ACOW.exe? You would need to load them into the ACOW 300 .exe, export them (as .mal). Then load into III.

If you can post them here i could do this for you.

You're welcome. Actually the process was a little bit different from what i thought. I loaded the maps into the ACOW 1.04.exe and saved them as a scenario. Then i loaded the scenario into the ACOW 300 1.04.exe and saved the map as .mal. These .mal files can be opened by 3.4.

FYI the ACOW exes can be found here, they are part of the "BioEd" equipment editor software: http://yves.lr.pagesperso-orange.fr/Bioed/Bioed.htm
See also Bob Cross' pdf "How to edit the equipment database" in TOAW's manual folder for installation instructions.

Now you owe us a scenario..

thanks again for helping me out, I appreciate this greatly. Regarding the scenario that sounds like a deal, let me know what one you prefer. I'm more of a modern scenario guy, while I like WW2 one's I like more modern, but let me know. Thanks again
