I did a naval bombardment of Port Moresby and got a list of everything there.

I captured Davao. I'm going to move some planes in there as soon as the attack phase ends.

Somehow my three-dot attack gained Manila. Now I just need to hold onto it for a while.

I captured Wake Island finally. The BB's made it easy and the losses were light.

Here's the face of Malaya now. I'm pushing and shoving but the lines are fairly stable now. I'm not as brave as Tom....I didn't
feel like dropping some paratroops near Singapore and hoping for the best.

Here's the Manila area now. I'm still pushing and shoving and trying to clear out the island.

I have reason to believe that Santa Isabel island is without supply. My ship moved there last turn and now it's out of supply.

I moved one of my floating units into an empty hex and caused a mixed group error. I'm moving the save game to Ralph so he can
fix the mixed group thing and we can continue on with the game.

Here's the results of a Jap sea interception. I shot down ALL the PBY's. Maybe the AAA level needs adjustment.

I assaulted Midway again and again no joy. I'm going to need a new ground unit to continue the assault.

I assulted Port Moresby too and there too I met with defeat. I guess I hadn't softened it up enough. And there was too little support on
the attack itself. Live and learn.

Here's the results of an airfield bombardment. Pretty good all things considered. Too bad I don't have any land units to import to
this hex.

Here's what Malaya looks like now. I'm in some kind of empass. My boys are too tired to force their way through the British so we
just sit opposite each other trading blows. I'm going to institute some kind of bombardment via the air to try to persuade the
British to give up.

I'm finding that partisans are a particular problem in Vietnam. They are hard to track down and harder to destroy. They like to slip
out of your surrounding net. I'm going to need some more troops here to round them up.

I always hate the partisans when I am the Allies. They are invisible and can slip through your net. To get them cleared out you must have a solid line of troops and push them up against a river or another solid line of troops. The partisans can't do much damage but they can flush airfields and wreck rails. It is a real pain having to deal with them to be sure.

The latest news is that the Soviets have assaulted my lines and have made headway against my troops. They have gained several
hexes and my troops are red-tired.It's looking like the Soviets might break through.

EDIT: Ooooooops. I posted this picture to the wrong AAR. My bad..

So um....I'm in the process of ending up the mop up of the PI and the troops that were employed there are going to Singapore.
I've run into a bottleneck in Malaya and these troops might make a difference. Java is calling to me. I'm leaning toward maybe
invading OZ this time.

Here's the face of Burma now. And south China. And some of Vietnam. Etc. Lots of pushing and shoving going on.
I'm not comfortable with my security level reguarding the partisans. The seem to turn up everywhere. I'll be happy to
be rid of them finally when I am finally rid of them.

Here's the Port Moresby area now. I tried to invade and met with defeat and so I'm now thinking I can come across the Stanley
Owens mountain range and attack from the north. And I can use better odds this time.

Here's a close up on the Guadacanal area. I had to evacuate my ground unit from Santa Isabel to Guadacanal because there's no
supply to be had there. It was embarrassing. The Allies have flown a substantial number of fighters into the area and especially that
Lexington Fighter group......excellent pilots flying Wildcats so far. I'm going to need some of my carrier pilots to take them on. Or one
of my expert land based groups. Certainly not one of the Nate groups. Those guys are only good for training or deep in China. Maybe
use them against the P-40 but not the Wildcat. And especially not the Lexington Fighter pilots. That would just get them killed and
some planes lost.

I'm seeing a lot of the aircraft units that have to be adjusted in their global range. The individual ranges of the separate aircraft
in the unit aren't always similar and need checking. In this instance there's a significant amount of Sonia's but I decided that the
range of the Sonia wasn't enough for the ranges needed in China so I went with the Sally's range instead. Seems to work.

It looks like I need to evacuate Pontianak pretty soon because there's no supply there. I guess I need a LOC with a source yet.

You'd think the natural progression for the Guadacanal expansion project would include Espirito Santo and New Caledonia
in that order but a recon of E.S. ( code named holy ghost ) reveals the equivalent of a light division there. So some softening
up might be in order. Some bombing and maybe a light fighter sweep once in a while. So I need to export the spotter plane
and import some Sonia's or Sally's or equivalent and start the beat down. Sounds like it's going to take about a month of
steady pounding to make some headway at all. And I'll probably have to swap out the bombing group about halfway through.
This might take some planning.

Straight east of Guadacanal one finds Ellis Island. I haven't come up with a good code name for Ellis Island yet. I'll give it some
thought. Anyway, E.I. appears to be a softer target for an invasiion but still not a pushover. And I'll need the carriers for top
cover for this one. The Allies may interviene when I try this target.
