For a set of Excel spreadsheets that will allow you to edit the Fpools and UnitStructure files
of Panthers in the Fog and Gateway to Caen, please visit this site.

Thanks for the workbooks and the video demonstrating how to make changes. I appreciate it very much.

Very nice site there! I agree completely with your "criticism"

quote:

That does not mean that I like everything about Close Combat.

On the forums you will find all the criticism you need, so let me just add one from myself. If you have been playing a campaign, maybe for months on end, at the very end you just get a very cool message saying game over. Correct, no doubt, but why not a bit more drums and trumpets? Why not, at least, a very last look at your statistics for the whole campaign?

End of game! That’s it! Goodbye! The “Next” button will bring you back to the main screen.

For "end game" they could at least provide real life statistics against yours. Or perhaps some criticism of your performance based on historical data.

Thanks for the support.

It seems the site is down from time to time. Let's hope my provider
gets things fixed. If not I will have to move to another one.

For the sake of completeness, I have added editors for allied and axis
infantry teams for both games. Just download the file again.
These editors work in the same way as the other ones. Don't forget that the
force multipliers may cause some changes in the teams - unless you have set
all multipliers at 1.

I have now also added a basic editor for vehicles. It allows you to change values for
speed, acceleration and number of passengers.

You can change the game so that tanks accept passengers. You could use this to
simulate soldiers riding a tank into battle, Russian style. If you do so, be a good
sport and dismount them as soon as the tank receives fire.

By the way, I do not think that Gateway is the weakest of the lot. I really enjoy the game,
and it is a good conclusion to the 2D Close Combat series. An update of Panthers with the
graphics and passenger capacities of Gateway would be great.

Well, as my fellow triarii say, de gustibus et coloribus non disputandum est.

Oeps, there was a BUG in the spreadsheet. If the calculation results in a non-integer
value, the game crashes. There is now an extra step that makes sure the used value is
always an integer.

If you have already downloaded the file, please do so again.

Hi triarius,

Link to your editor is dead.
Could you re-upload them?

Thanks
