I have an idea. How about changing the sound effects for a unit moving on land that has an armored designation to be an actual tank noise rather than the sound of a truck? Non tank motorized units can have the truck sound which should be very different from a tank sound having treads.

Yeah, what he said. I've heard train noise by paratroops flying to their drop zones. I guess TOAW gets confused sometimes.Usually
a restart of the game engine fixes it.

Here's China now. I've just about cleared out north China I think. There may be some more Communist units between me and the
bridge over the river to the SW.

Thomas and his Allied forces have attacked north out of PM and have gained the airfield NE of PM. I'm definately going to need
some more people there to stop the advance. Or maybe I should just put the division back together and see what happens.

In the Allied half of the turn there was an airstrike on one of my airfields and I had bou cou planes there so the Allies didn't fare so
well. Lots of losses.

And here's the results of an Allied air strike over Lae. Heavy losses for both sides.

And here's an Allied attack on my lone Regiment NW of PM. I tried to move him to the hex with the other pieces of the division but
the disengagement battle has engaged my regiment and won't let go. And I made the mistake of having it in a three-dot status so
that it stood it's ground instead of moving like I would rather it had done. So the deserve medals but now I need to get them out of
the AO before it gets killed. Somehow.

Here's the results of a very costly airfield strike. Maybe he doesn't know he's losing so many planes and will keep doing it.

Thomas and his Japs are breaking through my lines in the Burma area. D'oh. There's no reserve and so this looks like a game
changer.

Here's the CBI now. The Allies are trying to link up Burma with Malaya and there's pushing and shoving going on. Tom keeps doing
airfield attacks with his planes and I've seen some of them evaporate so he's pushing them pretty hard. Well, okay, not some, but
at least one.

I was checking out Borneo just now and found something not usually found in the wild. It's some Allied infantry already embarked at
Balikpapan and I'm wondering if Thomas embarked it and then forgot to move it or something. You don't usually see embarked units
still in port. Plus, I'm wondering where it's supposed to go from Balik.

A couple of turns ago I sent about 100 B25 bombers at an airfield in China which suffered very heavy losses. That was an error as the target was beyond the range of my fighter escorts. So you can see what happens without fighters along with the bombers.

I have to continue the attacks in the air and on the land to chew up some of the Japanese production so when I get the really large reinforcements I will be able to move forward and finish the war on time. Otherwise it will take too long to wear down the Japanese if I don't engage along the way while I wait for better equipment. We may finish the war fighting on the ground in Tokyo! It does not seem possible right now but it will later.

I think it is a relatively even battle so far. Both commanders deserve a medal!

So um...Curtis dude: I seem to recall something about a JMASS mod and I think that's the last one I adopted.
But I've had several and this latest incarnation is probably an amalgamation of a couple of mods. I'll put my
Altgraphics directory on a file server and give you the link if you'd like to copy my files.

EDIT: I zipped up my Altgraphics directory prepairing to put it on the file server and found out it's 48M bytes big.

Okie dokie......I put my altgraphics directory on a file server and it's ready for download from

http://www.filedropper.com/altgraphics

It's 48M bytes big and took about 2 full minutes to upload it. Downloading should be similar.
This is the directory that holds my graphics mod files and you can mix and match as you
wish. Have fun.

Okie dokie.....new moves from Thomas, new turn. So um.....the Allies have taken back Brunei so now they own all the bases in
Borneo again. D'oh. And all the Japs on Borneo are trapped. It's looking like it's curtains.

This turn I got a spotter plane as reinforcements ( wow ) and I noticed that the game engine has labeled it as a fighter. I wonder
what causes that.

Here's the T55 front lines. I'm still attacking trying to shove the Chinese back into India and it's not working out really well.
Thomas made some incursions across the river but I contained them. So far. And I've closed out north China as a field of
conflict. I've got about 5 or 6 tired divisions in the pool but they are so far not combat ready. They are my strategic
reserve I guess. The aircraft units are being worn down and they are all less than authorized numbers except for a couple
of exceptions. I've split up the fleet and I need to get it back together somewhere around PI. The war goes on.

I saw some Allied ships near Palembang and I just happened to have some ships near Saigon so I drove down there and landed
adjacent to the Allied stack and even though I lost some ships I sank the Allied ships.

I got a division as reinforcements and I thought I'd have to fight my way ashore so I took the whole thing and invaded
Cebu and there was nobody home so I just drove into the port and everybody got off the boat. The coffee maker
was still warm.

Here's the T58 front lines. Thomas took Borneo back through some really good moves. Java is impregnable now. The Celebes
looks like it's the next battleground. I've got some Inf divisions that are going through their refit after re-spawning and they are
almost ready for use somewhere.

Take a look at Corregidor now. It finally looks like it's invadable. I'm going to take the division at Cebu to take Corregidor and replace
the division at Cebu with a regiment from Tokyo. He can finish his refit at Cebu. He's almost combat ready anyway.

Thomas tells me via an email that he tried to do a commando raid into Manila but miscalculated by not counting on the 6 BB's sitting
in the harbor. He ran into them and was slaughtered he says. I feel his pain.

Here's my strategic reserve. I've got three divisions going through refit at Nagoya and they will be combat ready in another couple
of turns. They are at 37% readiness as we speak. I haven't decided where to put them yet so for now I'll leave 'em there.

Here's the results of my assault of Corregidor. It didn't go off without a hitch. I had some planes and 6 BB's participating and
they weren't listed in the combat results screen so I'm wondering what in the world has happened.

that there's so many losses. They are way past resonable.

Thomas did another one of those commando raids from Corregidor and a band of valiant Marines died. So this morning all I had to
do was walk ashore and change the locks. The lights were still on.
