F-18E/Fs can't operate from the CdG, right? Just the smaller As and Cs?

The catapult can launch up to 23 t and the elevator can lift 36 t. Why an F-18E couldn't operate?

Don't know. Never seen an -E or -F operate from it, only As and Cs.
