Are you speaking of German command structure, because I think I have mine pretty well sorted? There are a few divisions out of position a bit due to organizing for attacks or following success but other than that everyone is within their command capacity (you can see the collection of Corps HQ's behind the lines). Supplies are flowing.

No problem. Comments on what we're doing are welcome. We're both trying to learn the game. First 43-45 campaign for each of us.

Dave, do you have the resources to invade southern France? I am playing my first PBEM and I invaded nothern France in the exact same location as you and I am stuck just north of Naples. I landed in southern France just west of Nice and my opponent had not stripped the EF but had stripped south France of everything except security units and a handful of broken down infantry divisions in regiment size. I landed and took Marseilles and Nice and Toulon in two turns and I have moved north for two turns now and not ran into the German 9th Army. It looks like he was not at all ready for another invasion and now I am pulling units out of Italy and declaring that a static front and southern France is looking like it could unhinge his entire war front.

what does the eastern front look like. There don't seem to be to many divisions left in Russia. Does this have an impact on the russian advance?

The east front must be a thin gray line right now. Maybe I'll meet the Russians in Paris.

Slow going still. Made some progress in the north, but troops were too exhausted to take advantage of the hole.

A look at Italy since I haven't posted anything about that lately. Not too much going on. The Germans are very strong in the mountains northeast of Naples, making attacks there a losing proposition. I've had a little success on the east coast, but really nothing to crow about - gained a few hexes but the end result of that is we're still facing a lot of dug in Germans in mountainous terrain.

Infantry in the Eastern front (not shown in earlier pic) are almost ALL shown in orange with a "(u)" after them, not allowing me to purge further

That means they're basically all unready. Wow. Panzer morale is trashed too.
What is the date you're at in the game?
Can you see how the Soviets have advanced relative to historical?

August 4, 1944. The view from SHAEF. I think I need to find a way to stack 5 high to get enough combat power for successful attacks.

At some point you should see their gains reflected on the map when you scroll over to the eastern edge.

You can have the counter show atk-def value, cv-mp, or garrison cv.
Garrison cv I think doesn't reflect impact of weather.

To see the Soviet advance just zoom out and scroll to the right. The Soviet territory is in the dark gray area where units may no longer go.

Considering the shape of your eastfront-box they should be a ittle further west than historical.

If you hear a knock on the back door of the Neue Reichskanzlei in Berlin, DON'T OPEN THE DOOR!!!

Map information ... toggle enemy hex ON!
the Red Army is 5 hexes ahead of historical advance ... with that situation you are going to lose Berlin quite early.

You can see the Soviet advance versus historical in the East front box. The front line data shows two numbers - the first is the actual X coordinate for Soviet advance and the number in parenthesis is the historical. You'd better brace the gates of Berlin, the Soviets are getting close!
