I'm well into a 1943-1945 Allied campaign with no significant problems when suddenly I've lost the ability to set up major raids with Bomber Command. When starting a new Bomb City directive in the planning screen only a fraction (about ten percent) of the bombers attached to BC are available. The missing squadrons don't even appear on the list so it is impossible to tell why they are unavailable. Yet when I switch back to a BC Bomb City directive that was planned earlier all 1,500 or so bombers are still listed, so I know that the computer recognizes that these groups belong to BC. I hope I'm explaining this properly: the older directive that is still in effect shows about 1500 aircraft attached to BC (most available, some not due to low fuel, excess miles, altitude restrictions, et cetera) but if I start any new Bomb City directives only 80 or 90 aircraft are shown as belonging to BC (again, most available but some not). I'm not sure if this happens if I try any other type of command instead of Bomb City. Has anyone else had this happen? I can still generate a lot of air raids from Bomber Command (for what they are worth, these night attacks are not very cost effective) by using the older directive and just expanding it in terms of area covered, target priorities, and what not; but I can no longer generate a second directive for bombing cities that includes most of the aircraft that should be available. I've attached an old save that should show the problem. Load the file, then try to set up a NEW Bomb City directive for bomber command. You shouldn't see more than 100 aircraft listed as available or unavailable for the mission. Yet if you click on the old mission, the first in the list, you'll see that there are actually hundreds of bombers that should be potentially available for assignment. Good luck and thanks for your patience.
