Well with a deep breath I started my very first game, the Coral Sea. I found my carrier cap overwhelmed by Zero's, then the enemy bombers came in. The Lexington sank, the Yorktown sank, Port Morsby invaded and captured and the northern coast of Australia attacked. A Decisive Japanese Victory. Boy have I got a lot to learn!!!!

I may have lost dramatically but what a great game to play.

Now back to the books to see where i went wrong.

Yeah - If you are just learning the game it's easy to sail into a buzz saw!

Carrier warfare is a real dance where you have to work around the limitations of your aircraft and escorts while trying to get into good position to hit the other guys. Learning appropriate settings for CAP and air strikes is very important. Using other Task Forces to scout for you and to divert some of the enemy's attacks is also necessary.

When the object is to learn what works and what doesn't, it is OK to re-do a turn and change things that ended up being a disaster. Once you get a better feel for how to do battles (and logistics), try the scenario again from the beginning without the re-dos and you will have a lot more fun. Enjoy
