I think this is a major bug. It certainly is hugely effective for the allies, and I cant believe I stumbled across it now (in a practice AI game)

Its so good I cant tell you over a public channel, but your email was full. (Helpless PM box) Is there someplace I can divulge the game winning secret for the allies?

Or should I go ahead and use it against Pelton so he can mention it in his diplomatically polite way?

I've cleaned my inbox, so you can send a PM. Thanks.

PM sent

I couldn't do that to Pelton. For one, I want to beat him fair and square.

Thanks for the report. I was able to duplicate it. It is a bug as it is clearly unintended. Since it's not something someone would normally think to do, I'm hesitant to mention what it is. However, it is against the rules and should never be done by a player. What do you guys think. Should I state what the bug is so people are aware it's not to be done, or keep it quiet until we fix it? It's very obvious when someone has taken advantage of this bug. It's not likely to be fixed in the next public beta, so it will probably be a few weeks before it gets fixed and out to the public.

I think that people wont be able to exploit it if it was common knowledge. And an accidental discovery like mine would probably be fairly innocent

+1, the cat is half out of the bag, so you might as well spill it.

Better not release details until it's patched. If it's not patchable soon we could release a Hotfix or additional Beta with this Bug fixed.

I only except payment in gummy bears. And it has to be the red, white and blue ones.

Maybe we can have a contest. Find the game winning bug. The winner gets a spitfire. Contest ends when they patch it.

10. Multi-role units could be converted to on-map status while at sea. Fixed.

They fixed my game exploiting bug.

Just the satisfaction of a job well done

It was fun against the AI though....I would drive up to an empty port, pop a ranger and walk on to the enemy port....thus allowing follow up troops to land.

My morals wouldn't let me do it to an opponent. It would have been useful for surrounding an invasion hex to make it easier to take in the invasion assault phase....or I could have landed somewhere far off that wouldn't be noticed unless my opponent was scanning the map with hex ownership on...stealth invasions.
