I saved the AAR in pdf(then .zip) as you can't be spoiled by mistake this way :p

Only the first mission is available right now.

Summary of what has been made

--------------
Wolves for Player 1
---------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the West German Campaign.

Wolves are the elite stay behind force of the German
Bundeswehr. They are highly trained, small mobile combat
forces to operate behind Soviet lines during their major
offensives.

Scenarios are generally small to medium in size.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Scenario 1: CWG1 Wolves starting at 1200, Jul 27 1989
---------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission Briefing for CWG1 Wolves:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
- Operational Briefing -
The 1st Guards Tank Army has advanced past the Siegen operational area. You are hereby ordered to begin operations in the Soviet rear areas.

Effective immediately Panzer Grenadier Briaged 1001 is activated.

Your orders are as previously stated. You will cause as much destruction and havoc as possible. It is important that you limit your losses. It will be impossible to get new equipment to you. We can possibly get new men dropped to you on occasion but too many resupply missions will give the Soviets an idea of where your main forces are.

- Mission -
Your first mission is to attack the supply columns of the 1st Tank Army on the road net from Oberdrsseldorf, Allendorf, Haiger, Flammersbach, Dillenburg and Burg.

You are to destroy as many Soviet formations you encounter along this road net as well as creating an atmosphere of confusion and insecurity. Creating a situation where they will have to employ security forces in areas they did not think would be a worry to them.

- Friendly Forces -
Recon Company 1001
Arty Company 1001

- Intelligence -
The reports we've gotten from the 11th ACR said the Soviet assault was made with a large number of tanks and IFVs. The initial assault forces are without a doubt on the move deeper into Germany. If they are in fact in Fulda then they have reached their initial objectives to break through our border defenses.

There is a report of an engagement along Route 258 around the town of Nordheim vor der Rhön but at this time we are not sure of the outcome of that encounter. The Soviets seem to be advancing along all main and secondary hard topped roads in the Fulda Gap AO. They are in Division strength with a high likelyhood that the Chain of Command is much higer. Probably all the way to Western Forces Germany. (WGF) Which would mean Army supporting level units. The Soviet forces will be heavy elements with all supporting arms present. Take that into account as you engage them.

- Reserves -
There are reinforcements being made available as we speak. The first available artillery battalion that comes online will be tasked to support your advance. I have no idea when they will be operational but I would think within a 2 hour time frame you would have their support.

Aftermath:
The first large scale engagement of the war was not what either side had trained for. The rain squalls kept visibility low. This helped the Soviets greatly to get in close to the 3rd Armored Division tanks. But it also kept them from pushing their advantage as much as they might have and helicopters flying in out of the rain to unleash torrents of rockets was unsettling. The Soviet air defense wasn't nearly as effective as advertised in these bad weather conditions.

Thanks. Great read.

William

p.s. are you sure the Leopard 2 on the title page is a Bundeswehr Leopard (and not a Dutch Leopard)?
