Another minor one but would be a useful addition if Air Sea Rescue was ever considered as a mechanic. Over 5000 aircrew rescued.

This might be a good idea - would penalise air ops further in contested water... the rescue craft needs to survive to have a chance of saving an otherwise PoW/MIA crew.

One thing the game really needs is something to prevent the entire northern part of RAF Coastal Command being usable in the Med. There is no penalty for losing sea control of almost the entire east coast, and north of Scotland, as long as sea lanes from NI are kept clean (not hard). I don't want to remove most of Coastal Command from the game, but a house rule is hard to monitor. I know the negative VP hating crowd would hate it, but -VP for any failure to keep the sea clearly WA out to 3 or 4 hexes from anywhere on the coast? I know that Denmark or N Holland invasions demand some sea control, but I don't think that's enough.

It is solved with a full shipping game (a la WitP), since coastal convoys are important and E boats need controlling, but we need something before then...

Simple. cut German Resources and stick the resource hexes on the northern sea edge near Norway and have how much reaches the reich dependant on naval interdiction and damage to Northern European ports.

Good idea. The UK ought to need some coastal convoys too, so throttle the rail a bit and have additional supplies move down the east coast (by 'sea'). If no path, less supplies in the south...

All of these would require more detailed naval engine. It is possible to make pilot "rescue" in friendly waters more probable though.

Well if you ever do a Battle Of Britain expansion you can add Warspites coastal convoys and if a Norwegian module arrives I'm sure the Swedish ore would be modelled but in the meantime Walruss would be cool and ASR even better
