I Find this little scenario quite a lot of fun, I run it with unlimited ammo at bases since it seems odd that we only have one sortie per aircraft when the primary way for these ships to project power is through their drones and helicopters. If I was going to modify the scenario I might include magazines that would almost make it out of the gulf...

I make a square area around the ship of approximatly 900 square miles (a little frontloaded in the direction of travel) and set the reference points to rotate with the ship. I set the emcon to tight firing, investigate outside of area, and use guns, I am going to lob Joint Strike Missiles at the ships with any AA assets and I manually turn off strafing on my ASW helicopters. I also set altitudes to minimum for the hellfire blackhawks and use them to take out the SAM and SSM batteries during daylight.

Proceed out of the straight, I found that the subs couldn't catch me at full throttle, I got one contact just cranked it up out of cruise and poof out of firing range. Pretty amusing to have all that hanger space on a speedboat. the most annoying thing is making sure that they don't go flying hundreds of miles to check out a stationary unknown.

Thanks whoever wrote this! Lots of Fun.

Glad you enjoyed this… When you set up the patrol zones... if you uncheck the box that says " investigate contacts outside of zone" they will not leave their patrol zone.... The other option is to set up prosecution area around the patrol The other option is to set of prosecution area around the patrol soon zone... And that will restring the units from wandering all over the map…
