Why is Mannerheim out of supply here? The weather is fine.

Tampere is USSR controlled. But he should be able to use sea supply.

Why is part of the rail line brown? Is that anything to do with it? I assume not as he has not been out of supply before.

The brown part is not a rail line. It is the Arctic Highway and a road. For supply purposes a road has the same function as a railroad.

----

Mannerheim was in supply when you made the attack a couple of impulses ago. After that I have not checked until now.

Brown line is road, same thing in China. Can be used for supply and "railing" resources but not for railing units.

I have just checked it - WEIRD.

I moved the Soviet units away from the rail line and supply was restored - so this must be similar to that problem we found near Suez where supply was only being checked for certain routes.

However, why it is weird is that I have just undone the Soviet moves and guess what? Supply has been restored?????

The only thing different to now is that the Ski unit is in Tampere. I shall do the same exercise but keep it where it is i.e. it never moved to Tampere.

Okay now I leave the Finns where they are and simply move the Soviets away - and Mannerheim now remains out of supply......

So the rail line only is being used - except in the weird case above..

That's a big problem for our game . Kind of makes me putting Mannerheim in the north pretty pointless.

Plea to Matrix and Erik re the forthcoming announcement on the game: Any thought of fixing netplay or AI or anything else just makes no sense when supply still has fundamental issues like this.

It can be solved. Just recapture Tampere.

Yes, we luckily have a solution of sorts in this instance - although I do not actually want to do that with my ski unit.

I'm curious, leaving Tampere empty if you move the Finnish convoy to sea does it put Mannerheim in supply?

Hey, that could be the reason and not be a bug.

I mean, if you are using LOS it would not be a bug.

quote:

SiF option 11: (limited overseas supply) You can only trace a supply path overseas if each sea area you trace it through contains a friendly convoy, TRS or AMPH.

I don't think they can use the GE CONVs.

I don't think they can use the GE CONVs.

1) They can use German convoys. EDIT: Or rather, they should be able to use German convoy points if CPs were needed.
2) This is a game without the LOS option.

Here is the optional rules that we use in this game.

So that means that if supply IS established by the Finnish convoy then the bug would be in the cooperating powers logic and not some strange isolated map fault.
