EF Dynamic Campaign Bug - Honved in Russia

EF Dynamic Campaign Bug - Honved in Russia - 4/10/2015 9:05:42 PM

Status: offline 		I experienced a major bug when attempting to play the Honved in Russia Dynamic Campaign in EAST FRONT today. (First time I'd ever attempted this one.) Hopefully this can be fixed so the DC is playable...

Am running JTCS 2.02 on Windows 7, using the following Mods:
Black Info Boxes
PB/PL Interface
Forgotten Battles 2.0

I started the Honved DC, playing as Hungary, at battalion size:
1st Motorized Infantry Battalion
Fast Corps

Played a couple of turns with no problem. I then exited the battle (the Dynamic Campaigns auto-save, as you know).
When I restated the campaign a bit later, two pop-up error messages appeared in sequence.

The map now refuses to load. The map is totally black except for one hex in the upper left-hand corner.

I took (cropped) screenshots of the error messages, which I will post below.

Status: offline 		Do you have the error log, and the engine logs etc? When you look in the directory for the file, does it indeed reside in the EF folder? It might have gotten saved in some other area by default, new windows versions are a pain in the ass about this sometimes!

Status: offline 		There are "Error" and "Engine" files in my EF folder (.TXT format), with entries dating from the time my Honved Campaign would not load.

    Status: offline     		OK, tried a Honved in Russia DCG, got an error telling me there was an error opening the scenario file before the deployment, but it let me deploy. Started my turn, exited. Tried to restart, same problem Emperor had! Got an idea maybe it is something with the FB mod, sure enough, if I uninstall the FB mod through JSGME, and start a Hoved in Russia campaign, no problems?! Now, to track down the issue...

    EDIT: Strike that theory, started another one, without the mod, it worked fine, exited, installed FB, and started the new one again, with no problems?! This is sounding vaguely familiar, but can't remembeer what the deal was previously?

    Status: offline     		Hi Berto, I did indeed have all files named my character, and was able to load them by themselves. The problem seems to be somewhere in the Forgotten Battles Mod?

    Status: offline     		I deactivated the Forgotten Battles Mod and tried to reopen the (saved) Honved campaign, but no dice... Map wouldn't load; got error messages again.

    I deleted that campaign character, then started up a new Honved Dynamic Campaign (with FB Mod still deactivated)... No problems whatsoever.

    The issue, therefore, was likely caused by the FB Mod.
