Status: offline 		I see there at lest 4 or 5 groups from Essex carriers. But i can only confirm one CVL becouse i only see it durring replay.
I he bring big boys plus Iowa battleships i dont se how Docup can risk them ergo he must have there major force. Taking big carriers there with small force is not worth risk becouse he can do that with CVE only.

Of course Docup can switch air groups and actually those CV groups can be flying from CVE and that mean it is bait and he will move elswere

Status: offline 		Still waiting for turn so i will tell You what my plan is.

I belie entire operation is attempt to intercept and destroy Japanese BBs in region.
So far Docup 3 times move landing craft to Ambon hex and 3 times i send Kongo's to intercept them. Without success.
Last turn again two enemy TF end in Ambon hex but strangely they unload nothing.
Bait i will say.

I believe Docup plan is like that. Iowas and Fletcher will sweep Kendari hex and simultaneously slower BBs and cruiser from Gorong will go for Ambon.
CV he have there are here to give air cover for his SAGs and eventually finish what will be left from Japanese battle wagons.

Japanese plan is like that.
BB TF i have in north will move at full speed and will merge with BBs in Kendari hex
I hope they will merge before enemy will enter Kendari hex. I should have 4xBB(Kongos) TF there. CL TF some Es and LBs will try to slowdown enemy before they meet Tanaka big boys
Simultaneously KB will jump at full SE of Kendari. I chose position ~9 or more hexes from most
of allied AF. If we have naval Battle in Kendari i hope enemy damaged ships will be at KB range on morning.
CV battle will be bonus

Docup know that KB is in Banda Sea- his bombers attack KB at night damaging two DD with bombs. Lucky i lost only few LBA bombers at day
Enemy fleet is gone. KB SE of Kendari - undetected.(only small SAG have DL 2/5

Big disappointment. Docup know me to well

KB will retreat north for refuel and i think it is time to move closer to home

Again i saw enemy CV near Ambon.
This time i have no KB ready so full job go to LBA planes. On morning enemy navy show up north of Ambon. LBA attack. Not many return back for what, for single TT hit in to CVL.
But i can live with that.

Wortst. I have CA TF in Manado i forgot to givee them retreat order and they where captured in Manado port(after they disband and night phase). two CA light damaged, two CL sunk 7 DD sunk 8 E sunk
It is not over i had BB TF 80 miles from Kendari they where attacked by CV bombers. Short story Fuso go down and another BB will spend few months in yard.

600 planes lost for 200 on Allied side. Manado closed.

For details ask docup i have to low morale

Status: offline 		Maybe it's time to pull back the big guns and make him wonder more again. I know it's tough to concede space, but time is on your side here. You could keep good assets to very late and they will still be useful in areas like the PI, Formosa and around the HI if you still have something to fight with then. Maybe et the small stuff, planes and subs and quick little SAGs take bites out occasionally for a while to get him feeling confident, then throw the hammer of the KB in. Often not knowing what is coming is more scary from the Allied side than having to fight what you can see.

It is my plan for tomorrow, I will use KB but as defensive force.
I need to secure those CAs and BBs in area that need to retreat tomorrow.
KB will take secure position close enough to give air cover but outside range of his carriers.

Ambon area will be lost soon. I will now focus on inside defense ring. After all it is now December 1944

First post was not 100% accurate
I lost only 5DD, also i did not notice that both damaged CAs have fires ~20 points
I am able to send in air over 700 fighters they will protect airspace over Kendari. CA TF will protect waters around base.

KB will take position near Manado to protect over 20 damaged ships that need to retreat north

Turn is on Docup side.
I decided to be more aggressive. Probably mistake but i believe it will be last chance when i will have numeric advantage over allied CV planes. Estimated number of his forces is 800-1000 carrier based planes.(Probably 600+ are fighters)
I belive big strike escorted by ~200-250 A7M2 will be able to get trough. Plus i will figt above own base so many pilots will survive


KB main job will be protect ships that need to retreat from Manado but they will take more aggressive position. Among many TFs i see allies have few "APA" TFs. I believe those are landing troops for Ternate or more probable reinforcements for Ambon.

KB will take position in magical 8 hex from Ambon(or 2 hexes if Ternate) and 750 bombers will try to kill. (first time i will intentionally aim for 8 hex strike)
So it can be knife fight

I will have 750 strike bombers and 300 escort fighters. KB will have CAP of 300 CV fighters and between 0-300(Ki-44c, N1K2, Ki-84r) fighters from Ternate.



PS. First 6 Ki-83 arrive to pool k.

CL sunk in Ambon hex

Don`t know but placing so small CV force as forward guard was just stupid
he dont even set his bombers on attack Even LBA bombers should get trough so week CAP

If he want to protect his landing in Namlea and Ambon on his place i will place my CV 120nm south of Ambon.

From bad news i lost CA that was damage during last turn

I just check.
even after losing those carrier Docup still have 900 CV/CVL capacity and over 2000 CVE capacity. Instead in shadows he should use them today and finish KB.

Only what is saving him now is that it was price he was wiling to pay for other op.
