I noticed the great scenario Tora, Tora, Tora from acb3, where he basically recreates the fictional battle of 1980 Nimitz vs the Pearl Harbor Japanese force.

I want to recreate another time travel battle in a scenario, I would like to know how to merge units from the 1940 to 79 database with units from the 1980 to 2015 database ?

Because each time I change the database it erases the unit already inserted on the map, and each side.

Ah ! Too bad.

Is it something that can be changed by a mod, or so hard coded in the game that it is just impossible to fix ?

Or maybe I can manually export units from the 1980 to 2015 database, and import them in the 1940 to 1979 one ?

No it's not broken and there is no import.

You may want to try seeing if the ships you want are actually there but fielded by another nation. Lot of Fletcher's, Gearings etc in service with Greek and Turkish navies for example.

Ok thanks. Been thinking about how to do it for a while.

The time travel scenario I want to reproduce is the one of the manga Zipang.

The plot is basically the contrary to the one of Nimitz : a 2020 Japanese guided missiles destroyer (modified version of the Kongo Class, itself a modified version of the Arleigh Burke American ship) goes back to 1942 and alter the timeline.

So maybe I can find a guided missiles destroyer in the 1950-1979 database that looks like Zipang, and then modify it to make it be more like the 2020 version of the manga ?

Problem, Wikipedia says that the first ship of the Arleigh Burke-class was created in 1989.

So what would be the closest ship of 1979 to a modern AEGIS guided missiles destroyer in your opinion ?
