The Coverage tick boxes aren't mapping correctly for weapon, sensor detection and tracking. It maps as the following. From Top, clockwise
SB1
SB2
SMF1
SMF2
SMA1 and SMA2
nothing
SS1 and SS2
nothing
PS1 and PS2
nothing
PMA1 and PMA2
nothing
PMF1
PMF2
PB1
PB2

It seems to miss alternate points of the compass. This could be a problem if you choose the wrong point, you could have a big gap in the coverage

Hello,

Can you please provide a specific example for investigation.

Thanks.

I've noticed this when I add new mounts or sensors on the platform in the editor and then dump the delta template. Coverage in the template doesn't quite match expected angles.

For example, generic shipboard lightweight torpedo tube mounts aimed directly to port with coverage 135° (+- 67,5° or 3 checkboxes top/bottom during angle selection) have coverage PB1,PMA1,PMA2,PMF1,PMF2, while the same mount on the starboard side have coverage SB2,SMA1,SMA2,SMF1,SMF2,SS1,SS2.
Another case are generic quad launchers of SSM, launchers aimed directly to port with coverage 45° (+- 22,5° or 1 checkbox top/bottom during angle selection) has delta template coverage PMF1, while same mount on the opposite side has coverage SMA1,SMA2,SMF2.

However, I've never found any anomalous behavior in the game and until now I thought it is just my lack of detailed knowledge of the editor.

Sunburn, it happens everytime.

Process to replicate

Add a unit
Add a mount
choose ANY single point in the lower half for the coverage (the rear of the unit).
Export the delta template

The coverage will either be (2 points, ie SMA1 and SMA2) or blank.

This is the same in Add Sensor. It seems to be the code for the compass choice not allocating properly.

Note: All the top half (the front of the unit) map correctly and only give a single reference, ie SB1

Thanks guys. I've added this to our list and we'll definitely be following up.

Mike
