Turn 13 GHC Armaments: 84,000 Manpower: 29,000 VP: 198

HQBUs used: 8
Armament Pts. Destroyed = 48 (15)
Heavy Industry Destroyed = 35 (8)
Factories: ( Leningrad KV-1,BA-10,T-50)
Manpower Pts over run during 1942 =
Russian Units Destroyed after November 1st 1941
Corp:
Divisions:
Brigades:
SU:
AP total:
Stavka KIA: 1,679,000 Stavka OOB: 4,869,000
AGN bombs the port some more and the 1st assault fails to cross, horrible roll. On the up side AGN gets a small breakthrough just north of VV City. This could become a major operation in the coming turns.

AGC northern pincher pushes 30 miles between Kalinin and Moscow. The southern thrust drives towards Tula. I am probably going to move 4th PG units back north and move 2nd and 3rd PG towards Tula and sweep south.

AGN almost pushes across. 41st Panzer Corp pushes to encircle VV City, this should cause a general withdrawal coupled with AGC break through north of Moscow.

AGC smashes a hole in Russian lines north of Moscow and the last river has been crossed in force. The rail lines to Moscow are just 60 miles from the front divisions which are all MoT and full of fuel because of air drops. AGC also did 2 HQBUs one at Tula so those panzers can sweep towards Ryazan and hopefully meet up with Panzers from AGS or AGN. Main target is the rail lines below the Oka. Clearly Stavka has far to many troop on the Finish border tring to defend a city that’s already lost. I send 2 newly arrived Panzer divisions to Tula to help the other 4 panzer divisions there

AGS smashes a HUGE hole in the lines and clears a very large area which should force the general withdrawal of the Sumy bulge. It could possibly link up with the Panzer Corp near Tula or swing south and hit Rostov.

I Corp finally crosses the river sealing Leningrad’s fate. 18th and 16th Army mission has been a complete success. Stavka committed far too many troops to Leningrad’s defense.

AGC has cut all the rail lines going into Moscow. This does not mean I will take Moscow but gives me a good chance at taking it during snow. This should force a general retreat and give me the Oka. I will need more troops in this area to hold it during the coming blizzard.

AGS cuts all the rail lines to the Kharkov bulge. I was sure Stavka would try and get out of the bulge last turn, but I guess Stalin ordered them to hold fast for the Motherland. 4 Panzer divisions are 25+ hexes from the rail head, so MP’s will by low at the front of the spear head. This is going to get crazy as mud is only 2 clear turns way. I believe for sure I can turn south with the panzers at Tula and close the pocket, but that will open up Moscow. That is a massive pocket if I can bag it and I can take Moscow next year or during the snow turns.

AGN the Fins are FREE and I Corp joins 4th PG. I should have 18th and 16th Armys shifted down to Moscow area before Blizzard. Its all about Oka north.

Over all so far its been a good summer as industry, morale and strategic goals have been met.

rkimmi has been very skillful by getting more troops out of pockets then anyone I have played. Most everyone else would have been done by now.

rkimmi has a strong OOB, but he is going to lose allot of trucks keeping Moscow supplied and alive.

Blizzard defenses from Finland to the Oka will be dug in and strong, I am hopping to hold this area. South of Oka I really just don't want any units to get pocketed.

Snow is only 3 turns, so I will farm morale and give pocketing Moscow a shot for 2 turns.

Always good to study what Pelton is up to. I'll have my turn back tomorrow, it's going to take me a few more hours to encircle Moscow

As you can see Dave I did not make the same mistake in this game as I did in ours.

I bagged the 2 VP's north of Moscow, which would have ended our game with 260 VP's.

Hopefully we can get back to our game soon.

I try to execute your beginning, but my panzer corps are out of supply south of Ilmen lake. How do you resupply them, or perhaps you have an other AAR explaining your tactics ?

If you look at screen shot (this AAR)you can see on turn 4 where my railhead is at the end of my turn.

Turns 3-4 the panzer have 10-15 MP's, but turn 5 they are back in 30-40 and infantry are at the front.

rkimmi will resign or disappear before the end of the summer campaign. You heard it here first.

I don't think so he is good, we at turn 6 and I am not across the southern rivers.
Its a fun game as he is taking a different approach to defending.

and you were wrong as is normal about smokendave that one will go the distance.

anything else you like to say that will be proven wrong by the data?

Ahem... (cough, cough)

He is good, eh? rofl.

I thk hes done very slow turn around now.

Hes got a huge army ( reminds me of you 10 million +) but lacks industry, morale ect ect.

This is as close as I got. I did manage to attack Moscow the last 2 turns of snow heavely damaging the industry in the southern Moscow hexes, 95%+ and 70%+ in the other and both hexes had everything in them.

Looks like 6 million man strong Red Armys are about normal. Both games so far are following the same trend lines and the front lines are very much the same to date.
