Okay, I have listed some little problems I have found on my system.

I have an i7 930 with 6 GB RAM and a GeForceGTX 750Ti (soon to be replaced with a GTX980). I use Kaspersky as my antivirus and firewall.

- Heavy lag on Army level battles. The game drops to 2 fps. Medium to serious lag at Corps level when the game drops to 30-36 fps (usually is around 40).
- Couriers wait a second before moving to give the orders to my subordinates after they have almost reached them, and my subordinates are moving. They just stop, then move again, then stop... until the unit they have to reach is not moving anymore.
- Battle sounds are all the same (marching, shooting, cannon fire) despite having some variations in the audio files. The result is a horrible mix of the same sound repeated for each unit which creates an "echo" effect that is really annoying.
- The game hangs and then crashes sometimes at random when I select a sandbox battle of "Line of Sight" type. This happens mainly if I select Army level.

Agreed, sfx echo effect quite noticeable in some situations. I would say it is unpleasant to the ear but no biggie.

I stopped using subscription av's years ago when I discovered the one the ships with windows works a treat and is free.

as an aside, why does everyone use 'horrible' as a descriptor these days? :-) The issue does not inspire a feeling of horror or shock in me. I just need to watch Alien for that.

cheers

different firewall / AV program but same advice to try, you need to add game exe to the list etc.

Maybe because I'm not a native english speaker and "horrible" is the best word which describes my native language equivalent (terribile, orribile) but I dont want to sound intentionally irritated. It is simply "not pleasant".

Thank you for the advice on AV programs.

sorry,my version of humour does not translate well ;-) Try Microsoft Security Essentials as your AV if you have win 7 (free download). If you have win 8 or later, you don't need any other av as Defender is built in.

cheers

The AV thing didnt help at all unfortunately. I would have some images to show about some other problems but it seems that the forums here are better defended that the Pentagon and I cant post anything until my 10th post. Oh well.

I'll describe it then: a battalion was happily stuck inside a bridge during some manouvers (happened 4-5 times already).

During campaign play the courier system seems to be active. I cant select anything and the only thing that I see in the right window where orders should be, its an enigmatic "courmsg". I suppose it shouldnt be there.
