Status: offline 		I've gone through 16 once against the AI and have started 17 against the AI. So I am a "newbie"

Do officers get promoted to a higher rank with experience, or improve their ratings with successful combat?

Status: offline 		NO promotions. I don't know about experience going up. Pilots and ships' crews have their experience go up so I guess officers do too.
