Just started a new turn and reviewing the front in front of Leningrad. One stack is four high! Haven't seen a post on this bug. New unit turned up in the stack- fresh 1st RD. Not noted in the event log as a newly arriving unit either.
not sure what happens next in terms of crash.

Unit is listed in the commander's report and assigned to STAVKA as it should be for a newly created unit.

Hope this gives you enough information to track down the issue.

Yep thanks - could well be. No intentional Gds conversion on my part, but may have happened as a part of the start of turn process.
