Already housebroke, knows some tricks, comes when called...and chews on EVERYTHING

Poor thing gets car sick though. I took him to the vet yesterday, only 4 blocks. He didn't make it back in time

Well, hold off on feeding him the three cans of ALPO before the trip next time, yo.

He is getting big.

Please be thinking good thoughts and prayers for my mother. Been with her since Wed morning when she broke her left femur with a compound fracture. Surgically repaired yesterday, have not had any time for any WitP:AE since...

Anyways, she is resting very comfortably when the pain meds are on board!

Take care of your mom, nashvillen. She did the same for you for so many years. Now it's our time. Hope her leg heals OK, mate.

The best for her...

Here's hoping that when the pain meds wear off she is well enough to annoyed that you're hanging around!

Nashvillen-

My ma broke her femur with a compound fracture at the age of 82, on July 4, 2008. She spent four months in rehab, but when she got out of rehab, she could get out of her bed and recliner and walk with her walker all by herself. She probably could have even walked with just a cane, but she was not confident of her balance (she just felt more comfortable using her walker). Ma passed away in February of last year, a month and a half short of her 88th birthday.

The very best to your mother, her family, and her friends.

Regards,

-Terry

She is much better this morning, got out of the bed in the hospital and is snoozing in a reclining chair with her leg propped up. The Orthos used a bone cement and some plates to fix the break which is a result of Breast CA moving in and taking up residence... They expect she will be up and around after everything has time to heal.

Thank you for the words of encouragement.

Mike

Mike-is this something requiring chemo or radiation therapy?

She has been on a chemo regimen for the last year and a half. She had been not getting regular mammograms (family was unaware of this until after) and as such, it was well entrenched and into the lymphatic system by the time it was detected. Oncologist feels like she can live quite a while on the low dose chemo every four to five weeks to keep it at bay, but these lesions on the bones needs to have some other solution...

At her age, she's probably not an 'aggressive chemotherapy' approach candidate either. Hope she's at least comfortable and peaceful in her day to day life.

Any of you old timers out there that are "Tangerine Dream" fans, I think I've found their reincarnation in "The Glitch Mob". Good stuff in "Head Full of Shadows":

A great morning, indeed. Mother is up and around with a walker and is being moved to a rehab facility nearby and should be back in her home in 2-3 weeks! It is amazing what modern orthopedics can do!
