Games will play sometime for 15 mins and lock and other times for as long as 25mins. Screen goes black and just stops. Have a amd 1.6, ge force 3video and 512 meg of ram. Have down loaded new drivers and such. Also when i have tried to update windows it wont go thru all the way. Just few mins ago while playing links 2003 got blue screen error oe:0028:f2545e33

It could be an overheat problem on either the CPU or Video Card. Ensure you have proper ventilation, also what chip set on the motherboard do you have, they require drivers as well. Also check to see if there are any BIOS updates for your motherboard. I don't have the fail code memorized and on the top of my head. What size is your power supply?

Believe the power is 250. Will try and run with the side panel off and see if that helps. But there are times i can run all day like with high heat 2003 i have played for several hours at a time. Do you think i should turn my comp off at nite. I am one who never turns off my comp. This seems to happen in games that are hogs when running. High graphics like morrowind. Dont know if the people who built this set for me were too reputable. Dont know how new the grapics card is really. Also dont know any thing bout doin bios patching at all. Going to take it out to a better shop next week. Have them clean off the disk and install xp also check out the hardware in it and see if anything wrong there.

What version of Windows? What do you mean by,
Also when i have tried to update windows it wont go thru all the way
? Are you running Windows update or trying to upgrade to a newer version of Windows? Do you get the same blue screen fatal exception error all the time? I need the rest of the info from the blue screen error that comes after the numbers that you posted. This would usually say something like,
in VxD VMM(01)
I am running me right now. What i mena is the automatic update feature of windows. The critical pack would not finish installing each time that i tried it. The blue screen error had nothing else after what i put down. Was an oe error i assume. What ever that means, I copied evry thing that was on the screen at the time. Blue screen error only happpened one time when trying update from automatic feature. When i mentioned win xp i menat i was thinking of cleaning off my hd and putting it on. This is because i also have been having in some games lockups going to black screen.

Did you recently update the chipset driver for the motherboard? If you did, install the old driver and see if the errors go away. What version of Internet Explorer are you using?

Did you always have those lockups or did they occur only recently? If so, an overheating problem could indeed be the cause. Can you read your CPU/GPU temperature anywhere?

Anyway, I would try a new clean installation of Windows and other hardware drivers(graphic-, soundcard, chipset,...). Then see if the system works fine.
Another cause could be faulty RAM...maybe you can put another RAM stick into your machine.
