Ok,to summarize & pre-answer a couple of questions;

1/ Been awfully busy the latest year now that "Mr Thug of the East" started to feel belligerent. Basically that's why I've been "off the air".
2/ Apart from that that, no major worries.
3/ Guess I'll be a major INP contender for some to time ahead (again)

Happened (mostly by mistake) to get stuck seeing "Minority Report" this evening.

Damn, but that was a seriously good movie. How could I have missed it for so long?

... and the fact that you could hear unaltered Swedish being spoken in a US movie was quite nice!

... haven't been around for almost a year. Could anybody summarize the happenings around "THE THREAD!!!" during that time (in one post) please?

Certainly!

"Good Morning!"

"Good Night."

And on many days a few various things in between.

Aaahhh ... vacation ... my ol' folks, sister & nieces visiting. All have gone to bed except for me, sitting here sipping a good Calvados and just surfing whereever I feel like.

Life is good.

Glad I could make someone happy!

Guess I'll go with the more PC (in this case; "Politically Correct") things, now that my Calvados is finished, and say "Good night friends"

Ok,to summarize & pre-answer a couple of questions;

1/ Been awfully busy the latest year now that "Mr Thug of the East" started to feel belligerent. Basically that's why I've been "off the air".
2/ Apart from that that, no major worries.
3/ Guess I'll be a major INP contender for some to time ahead (again)

Viking dude!

Welcome back around! Hope your schedule because of a certain "huilo" (who shall remain nameless, of course ) normalizes soon. I'd love to hear about what you've been up to, but then you'd probably have to kill me or something.

Other that what the Argletonian said, there have been a few other happenings. Symon has been kicked off permanently recently. Terminus has taken a furtive leave of absence from THE THREAD (he's sometimes in other threads), Steve-o has moved and so have I.

What else? Nashvillen and some other THREAD-ster whose name escapes me are bogarting the INPs. I try to keep an eye on 'em, but it's difficult.

Between you and me, though, Lecivius is really the one to keep an eye on. Sure...he'll lure you in with a nice puppy into his panel van and then-SLAM!

Go ahead, Per. Ask him about his new puppy. I'm sure he'll show you some pictures. Or ask you to have him help find it. Or he'll offer you some candy or tickle you.

Well, I digress. Good to hear from you. Think about you whenever there's another workaday Russian sunk sub discovered in the Baltic. What is that now, a baker's dozen?

Hello Andre!

Thanks for the summary! Looks like everything is like always with the usual small tweaks and happenings. You're down in San Antonio now? And Steve has moved to where?

I could probably tell you everything I've done the last year, but I wouldn't like to kill you by being boring.

Working at the Defense University my knowledge of actual operative things is quite limited, hence I know very few secrets.

Concerning the subs ... something like a baker´s dozen, yes.

So Lecivius, what's this I hear about a new puppy?

And, our Swedish friend, you have missed the great signature debate going on over in the general discussions. Evidently one person complained about signatures being too big and the admins in their great wisdom shrunk them to being unreadable. They have made them a little bigger, but not like they were before.

There was no debate about it as far as I could tell, nashvillen. Had there been, I could have either dazzled 'em with my brilliance or baffled 'em with my bull****. Either one would have been better than having my / DivePac88's signature abridged.

Obviously we need to form a "posse", then hunt him down and find a rope! Right "Tex"?

You makin' fun of the way I talk, boy? That really chaps my hide.

ETA: My wife's side of the family would 'get a switch' for corporal punishment on occasion. They had a peach tree out back that served this purpose admirably. In a tip of the hat to old-fashioned independence, they made the kids go out and get their own switch too. That's some extra punishment-making them think on the whoopin' they were going to get!

Well, there needs to be more. I love all the signatures on this board. It is part of being here. How else would I know you guys from a glance in your posts? Some say the Avatars are enough, but I think the sigs are also necessary and artwork and should not be abridged.
