Hello,

I have a question about what some things stand for in Editor, On Locations screen for an actual location like San Francisco,
there are 2 boxes under the name that I don't know what they mean. First one is a box to check if you want to select "ME" what does "ME"
stand for? The next box is right next to it and it says supply cap. What is the significance of that value? I notice on most locations that value is set at "0"
but on some there is a number "ie" 100 (for example) in the field. What does that mean? Couldn't find anything in Editor Manual to explain that, and I'd like
to know what it means. Thank you for your help.

David

The ME means Monsoon Effect.

The supply cap number shown beside it in the Editor is a factor to be multiplied by the port size, airfield size and fortification level added together. In the game, the number shown on the base screen is the max supply cap during the dry season. It would be half that during Monsoon.

As per this Thread:
http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3793632
And the charts by Skyros in the thread.

Ref LargeSlowTarget post number 10:

During the dry season:
Bangkok would have 1000 x (P+A+F) = X (To Max of 8,000)
The (P+A+F) is coded into the base attribute so it cannot exceed the number 8 in Bangkok.

During Monsoon season (May 15 to Oct 15) the game code makes the factor half what is shown in the Editor.
Bangkok would have 500 x (P+A+F) = X (To Max of 4,000)
Because the (P+A+F) is hard coded to not exceed the number 8 in Bangkok.

The supply cap is the maximum supply that a base can receive in one day from supply movement
(meaning for example that airlifts, sea-lifts, etc. do not count toward the cap)….. as per Witpqs in post number24.

As I understand it a player can’t use the Editor in the “normal way” to make the Monsoon more severe without hurting the Base supply cap during the dry season. The only way would be to edit the code that cuts it in half.
If that is wrong I hope someone (Alfred) will correct me.

Thank you Trugrit. No matter how long you play a game, you can always learn something new. I have marveled as to the depths the developers and all you other
great players have gone to make this game as historically accurate as possible. The dedication to this game is remarkable. There are a lot of game developers out there who
would be well served to take notice of that dedication, and implement same into the games they develop. My hat is off to all who have helped make this the absolutely great game that it is
and....lol I look forward to the next remake/re-incarnation of this great game !! :)
