ORIGINAL: Geredis Are the fighters in range of the targets you're attacking? If I remember right, you don't have fighter cover when you attack targets in the red zones (not red target hexes). Yes, they are in range. The system should work like this, right? : 1. I click on the bomb airfield button. 2. I chose an eligible airfield -> red means out of range, grey means in range, but without escort, beyond that is in range and can be escorted. 3. If I dont pick any of my units shift right clicking should bring up the list of ALL the units in range, from which I can hand pick the ones Id like to participate. In my game (for ex, GC, axis, turn 1, the very 1st thing I do is AF bombing after a few recon missions) if 1. I right click on the nearest soviet airfield, the AI sometimes sends escorts, sometimes doesnt. 2. If I shift + right click on it I have a list of ONLY bombers from which I can chose. 3. If I pre-select an arfield containing my fighters, THEN I shift right click on the target, now I will finally have FTRs in the list so I can escort my bombers... Would be much more easier if i could post pictures...
