I recently (about 10 days ago) switched to Win 10. Previously, in MCS, the viewer would run in Win 7; it would open, I could select a unit and it would display the unit, the range, and the the compare tab was available. The unit fire and movement sounds never worked properly. After upgrading to Win 10 (still in MCS), the viewer opened, but would not open the compare tab or the unit's range. After running the viewer from within Windows Explorer & applying compatibility settings, the entire program worked correctly, but the compatibility settings never saved and I was still unable to run the program correctly from within the game. I would have to continue to open from WE and apply compatibility settings every time I ran the viewer Now that I'm playing ME, I'm having the same issues when I open the viewer from inside the game. The viewer opens, I can select a unit and the unit window opens. Nothing else works; no range, compare, or sounds. When I attempt to open the viewer from outside of the game and check compatibility, I get an error message that says "JTCS UnitViewer has stopped working". If I try to run the program from outside of the game, it opens, but the drop down box has selections for EF, WF and RS. Just wondering if anyone else is having similar issues, or if there might be something else I could try. EDIT: I saw the post below ( http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=3936997 )and d'loaded the file from Arkady's link. F3 opens the viewer from within the game and it allows me to select a unit, i.e., it works as before. I still cannot access range & compare units... sounds don't work , but it's not an issue that I care much about. Running the game directly from the application now works since I updated the settings per Arkady's reply. But, it works with limited function exactly like it does from within the game. Attempts to run it in compatibility mode still result in the message "JTCS UnitViewer has stopped working".
