Royal Netherlands Air Force buying Sniper targeting pods

So I guess a 2016 F-16AM model that has duplicate loadouts with Snipers instead of Litening AT.

I'm pretty sure the current plan is to use both pods simultaneously so still keep the Litening ATs in there too.

Low priority as far as I'm concerned. (I dont need it for anything, just noticed the news)

Again no priority for me, just something I noticed, but the Netherlands is getting two land based SMART-L EWC radars.

Static, immobile radar. Should be similar to what is on DBID 2521

Maybe should be better than 1990s tech though, being AESA, but not sure? In service (land based version) expected around 2018/19.

This is wrong thing, both of them have Palash, and Palash are nothing like Kortik-M

little history :
long time ago Soviet Navy want to improve AK-630 and in 1984 "Tulmashzavod" create AK-630M1-2 :

this proposal lost competition to CADS-N-1 Kortik

in 90s this thing return as AK-630M-2 Duet :


But this proposal have one big problem, underdeck space for AK-630M-2 almost twice as big as for AK-630

So Russian Navy order a 2x6 30-mm gun system without underdeck space for magazine needed , all munitions in one module with guns
KBTM take this task , they take Kortik module and remove everything except guns, instead of radars and electronic they place ammo for guns
(1500 rounds) also they add TV/IR search-targeting station and 3M89 "Palma" is ready :


there is no underdeck magazines, no loading systems for missiles, nothing , pure artillery system.

Then Vietnam came in this story. Vietnam Navy want to buy 1166.1 , when they see 3M89 "Palma" and hear that this is only gun system they ask to add missiles on "Palma"
But there is no underdeck magazines and no loading system so this "Palma with missiles" ("Palash") can only be reloaded manually
Due to manually reload and lack of radars "Palash" cant use missiles of Kortik-M (9M311-1 ,weight 60kg, radiocommand guided) , instead KBTM use Sosna-RA missile (9M337 ,weight 42kg,laser beam riding missile)
after this changes Russian Navy also buy Palash modules

Sorry for replying that late. I linked the original post in the quoted text above.

Regarding the DB I do in fact have v439 since I am hanging behind the Steam provided updates (current CMANO being 1.08 Final Build 678.18).

Considering the platform I was referring to russianships.info which shows that only the second 11661K (Dagestan) has received the UKSK. From the way it is listed in the armament section I interpreted it as a replacement for the SS-N-25 (only on Dagestan) but I admit it could be justified to discuss that.

You are totally right that the type ship (Tatarstan) of DB ID 584 SKR Gepard, Pr.11661K bears the SS-N-25 correctly.
So it would probably best to leave it as it is and offer the possibility to add the USKS mount in the weapons list by the player for Dagestan.

I just noticed that the Danish don't have their 9x MH-60R while creating a scenario with Denmark. The first one got delivered recently. Not a high priority thing, but would add some neat capability to the Danish.

"The Royal Danish Navy announced its acquisition of nine MH-60R in December 2012. The program, valued at $686 million, was the first European foreign military sale for Team Seahawk. The Danish aircraft are configured for search and rescue or anti-surface warfare operations, including defending Danish interests in the North Atlantic, executing anti-piracy operations, and conducting other missions during international deployments. All nine aircraft will be delivered to the Danish government by 2018." - MH-60 official website.

That sounds to me like they will be using Hellfires for anti-surface operations, but i'll leave that up to you guys.

Designation corrections for Sweden.
  • C (numbers here) Aviocar should be SH 89, the designation is as a comment in-game but shouldn't it be at the start of the name so u can easily spot it as a maritime recon next to the SH 37?
  • Dash 8-300 MPRA has the designation KBV 501. (KustBeVakning, Coast Guard). The three planes are designated KBV 501, 502 and 503 respectivly.
  • RQ-7B Shadow 200 also has its designation UAV 03 Örnen, but its in a comment. Would be nice if it could get its designation.
  • Sperwer UAV should have the designation UAV 01 Ugglan.

    Status: offline     		I don't know if that's relative to DB3000, but I wonder how those derivate of duel AK-630s, both legacy and modernized, could compare to the Chinese 11-barrels beast?

    Only two were the same are 30mm calibers, and 10000 rounds per minute. The rest would surely be different, only by how?

    The Swedish helicopter #2348 - Hkp14F [NH90 NFH] has a very powerful dipping sonar in DB 440, the range is 80 nm, I think this is a typo since The french version only has 8 nm.

    I see that the HMS Astute has been fixed to show that it only has one reactor.

    The US SEAWOLF class though, still shows 2 reactors. It only has on S6W reactor. That includes the JIMMY CARTER as well.

    The class consists of:

    SSN23 JIMMY CARTER (modified - special ops sub with extra MMP module spliced into the middle hull section)

    As most modern combat in the current geopolitical climate takes place against between or against rebel forces, i would like to expand on the generic rebel stuff. They already have a Technical and Inf Platoon and some other generic stuff but i would like some more.

    I would like to add this:

    Mortar Plt (Generic 81 mm and Generic 120 mm)
    The only mortar platoons in the game at the moment is operated by Sweden but mortars are the most commonly used artillery piece by rebel forces as they are cheap, easy to operate and easy to move.
    Generic stats would do.

    Armed Technical with ZU-23-2
    Basicly a flatbed truck with an anti-air gun in the back.

    Well I was stirred by nico71's doubts regarding the Kalibr/Klub question, which lead me to look up again on which sources I based my former posts to that cruise missile system. Frankly this brought back some confusion and I don't think I can uphold or prove that "Kalibr" is the name only for the ship launched land attack variant. In fact I see all SS-N-27 and SS-N-30 in the russian arsenal being Kalibrs.

    Reviewing everything I think the most probable and reasonable situation is as described in this blog article Kalibr vs Klub: There's a Difference by 7FBTK. Additionally a look at the russian wikipedia (despite I know we don't really wanna see wikipedia as a real reliable resource here) article Калибр (крылатые ракеты) might be worth it.

    Summarized I think (but can't prove) that this is the situation:

    3M54 (SS-N-27 Sizzler) Anti-ship
    3M14 (SS-N-30) Land attack
    are both legit members of the Kalibr designation.
    Export versions of these are sold as Klub.

    One can only imagine that the confusion and the dominance of the use of the name Klub may connect to the fact that the parameters of the Klub complex are somewhat known, since the Klub is sold on the export market and therefore some advertising facts will have been disclosed, opposing to the still rather secret Kalibr characteristics. So it may occur that reports mentioning in fact the Kalibr present data of the Klub due to the lack of knowledge about the original weapon.
