i've never read more than a few lines in the manual, watched a few video's mind you, have tested it for more than 200+ hours and still learning, but have won almost every map battle from either side and lost as many times as i've won i'd must say, then again i play on easy, have FOW off, have the AI do most of my air planning and enjoy it a lot. I'm not intimidated by anyone, as no matter what, i won't play online and never will, as once any games goes to the 99 degree, where you need to study and pass a exam to be top dog, i'd lose and tbh would no longer enjoy it or play it, it's not about just winning either, while some wish to know how many bullets a Yak can fire, i don't, some wish to know where a town is in south what ever, again i don't, i want a evening or afternoon battle, a week while i'm on hols away for pure fun, with this i get it, as it's at my level, with my settings used that is, i also know that when my level grows and the game gets too easy, i can alter it and still get a great game. so it's not for this year, and won't be thrown next year either, WITE hasn't been played by me for more than 20 hours in total, but i will do it one day, WITW will be still on the HD in 5 years time, so for price it's a very good long term bond / investment imo so if you are like me, a beginner, it's a great game, best WW2 game out atm by a long way, it's the benchmark that all others are aiming for. if you are a medium to groghead level of skill, this game will still test you, and most of the time if set correctly beat you depending on battle and side picked, as the AI is good and can be a challenge to anyone. once you are a Jedi WITW & East master, know the manuals inside out and can quote from it from memory, you still see them playing it? so the question must be why? is it that good really? no answers on a post card needed, it's a yes as they still are
