Hi, guys, I'm from a China military forum called Chaoda where an interesting theory was issued. This theory believed that with the latest improvement on Tomahawk IV, the US navy possessed a capability to attack or even destroy the PLAN landing ship group in the futural Taiwan strait conflict. One core evidence of this theory was that the tactical tomahawk can reset its course to an alternative target or to form into a muti-direction attack. So as I am playing the side of a 2016 US navy commander, I am curious that will Tomahwak IV in the game does it too?

No, but the block 4 can have its course changed manually after launch using the F3 button. This way you can set up your own attack vector on land targets.

No, only the Tomahawk multi-mission can attack ships, the block 4 can only have its rout to the target programmed using the F3 key. This programming is especially usefull when you can send them arround enemy ships or over land towards their targets in order to avoid detection by enemy radars and AC.

The TacTOM doesn't have a stated anti-ship capability. It's been in service since 2004 and only early this year did the Navy use it to hit a moving target. This appears to have been a one-off test, and hasn't been replicated or pushed out to in service missiles. The issue, as I understand it, was the continued target updates to the missile. Now that this has been rectified, Raytheon seems to be moving forward with it's multi-mode seeker to improve the anti-ship capabilities.
