Mostly a german player, but wish to try the soviet side. When forming corp's, is the resulting morale level the average of the morale of the divisions and/or brigades used to create it? Did not see this in the manual, so thanks for any help.

the 'average' that you see in the commanders report is built up this way (also remember that quite often the corps ToE will force the creation of completely new elements that were not part of the original).

if you look at the detailed ToE, you'll see a wider range of morale points - I think this represents an average of all those types (+ new creations), so that will reflect the base units
