Howdy Gents,

I was wondering if you all could help an old coast watcher out. I'm going to get back into AE but time has made my memory fuzzy. I was wondering if the old Andrew Brown maps were still viable and are they the extended maps? Does the extended maps require certain scenarios for them too, right?

And will my old pin up girl mods still work, I believe they should, just wondering if the art format has changed any in the last few years.

I remember there used to be a mod so ship scale was to size but I forgot who made it, anyone help me out on that one?

Welcome home CarnageINC. Yes, the extended map is still in use. In fact it is all I use for the most part. As far as your "Pin up Girl" mods go, If they worked on the extended map with AE before, they should be fine now. The ship scale thing i'm not familiar with.

Now if you are starting from scratch do the following;

1. Fresh install from disk or download.
2. Update using the updater with the game.
3. Download and install michaelm's beta. 11/14/15 I think is current.
4. Figure out which switches you need.
5. Download and install the Extended map with the Data.

michaelm's beta is in the tech forum. Switches as well. Well they are everywhere.
The extended map and a lot more scenario options are in the top section of the Design and Modding part of the forum.

Have fun

Oh, and our WITPAE support group meets every first Monday of the month at 7PM Eastern.....GP

This is a very old WITP site going back many years. The pin-up mod is at the top of the stack.

This site also has lots of sound effects that can be swapped in, and some art work too. You need to be careful that the files work with AE, but everything I've ever gotten from here does work. Ignore the old scenario mods. But some of the sound effects provide a nice change; ditto the splash screens.

A lot of the sound files are very deep in the stack. Mostly 2004.

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. I've been browsing around and a lot of its coming back. I'll have to explore some of the ship and plane art again, looks like Halsey and Big B are the guys to go to. I can't find any comprehensive Japanese ship art, is there any out there that is 'up to date' for the current patch?

And to stoke some old fires of past passion, here are my 3 pin up mods I created back in the day.

I've been using the photo pinup mod since back in the WITP days and I've been using it with AE ever since also. Thanks for the mod.

Thank you sir. I had a nude mod set to go however I never did it because I wasn't sure how it would be received. Old drawn nudes from from the 50's and some new ones from the 80's I think. Nothing but peeks actually LOL.

If there is enough interest I just might throw it together. Might turn out better since I have an updated photoshop program.

If you do such a mod, please don't post screenshots here. Matrix probably wouldn't like it.

Sorry,
Bill

Lots of players offer stuff without posting it in this (family oriented) forum by putting it on a sharing site like photobucket and just providing the link to it for those interested.

I was just referring to posting images of the artwork here. What someone does on another site is not in my wheelhouse.
