Ive played wargames for 20 years. Your guys updates (while fantastic). Always seem to be needlessly confusing. Your update feature to game never works (at least for me it fails 100% of time).

I do the direct DL (no big deal. I like doing Direct anyway with games) but now I have version 1.09. Yet I can't DL latest 1.09a patch because when I place it, it gives me error messages saying my 1.09 isn't up to latest build.

WHat is lastest build? Why don't you just have ONE main link. WIth patches in order?? Updates in order? Why always having several threads?

I'm on game version 1.09 Candidate 11, build 746.

What do I do from here?

Have you applied the official 1.09 patch?
A release candidate is not the official patch 1.09 - your game title bar should read v1.09 Final - build 757.9 (not sure of the . part, but after hotfix it reads 757.10)

Ok. Now I'm more confused. Just updated to 1.09 FINAL. Yet I now have two CMNO desktop icons. One launches new Wargame of the year addition?? The other launches my old game but set to still 1.09 candidate 11 build??

What's going on? in the new wargame of year addition (none of my old scenarios are there. Do I just cut and pate them over??)

Yes, but first make sure you copy-over any of your custom scenarios, game saves etc.

Your problem stems from the fact that originaly you probably installed the game some time ago before the game name changed to add Game of the Year. Now by default Matrix updates always install to a folder including game of the year unless you change it.

Alternatively apply the update but be sure to install it to the corect (your original} folder. You can then delete any reference and folders for Game of the year. Personally I have given in and opted for the easy life and use the new default.
