Good afternoon all.
I am so very interested in picking this title up as its one of my favorite engines of all wargaming times.
And of course I want to support future titles but I am really not that interested in the time period that the stock game covers other than the 80s maybe.

What I want to know is since I see some Israel 85 scenarios popping up which is more interesting to me, how far can this game be pushed as far as scenario making and date? Late 80s and 90s Israel operations even early 2000s would interest me much more. Even though they would not really be wars I understand but how far is it possible to go into the 80s and 90s with what is included in the game already? Is 85 as far as we can go I guess?

I hope that question makes sense, haha sorry if confusing.

Thank you

I'm the guy who's been designing the 1985 scenarios and I sent them all to Jason (with two new ones) for inclusion with the 1.01 release. 1985 is about it without some mods to equipment and the code. I think they stopped at 1985 because the game system couldn't support some of the new weapons systems but that's my personal surmise.

12/1985 is the cut-off date as far as the TO&Es go. Unit and weapon data can be modded though quite freely (vs AI only though), so should you prefer to see something not there you can always add it yourself.

That is correct. Attempting to model any combat beyond c. 1985 would stretch the game system beyond its current design limits.

That makes sense, thank you guys.

I appreciate the information.

I will check out some more of the AARs and probably pick it up if for nothing more than to support the team and the game for the future.

Thanks Berto, I appreciate what you guys have accomplished here. I love seeing one of my top two wargames ever given new life.
I am looking forward to the improvements being brought to East and West Front. Keep up the great work!

There's the 1982 AAR there, have a look, was a blast (pun intended)

Shows quite nicely how 1.00 looks like with the first battle, then the second one with 1.01 beta. Any questions just ask!
