Hi

Have loaded one of Andrew Browns Custom Maps and the Scenarios for them but they fail to load.

Am I doing something wrong here?

The extended map show as being installed in the game itself but I really wanted the WiF map as I prefer the lack of hexes but it doesn't seem to install?

I'm not really sure what you are seeing, but this information might help.

There are two parts to each map. One is the part that the computer reads, and it is a set of three files called pwhexe.dat, pwzlink.dat, and pwzone.dat. These three files are in the main installation folder.

The other part is what humans see, the graphics files. They are in the "ART" sub-folder under the main installation folder. They are named WPEH00.bmp through WPEH41.bmp, and WPEN00.bmp through WPEN41.bmp. The ones with an "H" show hex borders, the ones with an "N" do not show hex borders. There are some other graphics files for the map (like the overview map), but the ones I mentioned are usually the ones that are changed for mods.

You have to have both sets of files correct for the scenario and map mod that you are using. I know this does not tell you what is wrong, but it might be enough information for you to see what is not in the right place. Hope it helps.
