Ok,guys, I don't just mean tomahawk IV in the game, but in reality, when did/or will the tomahawk IV truly have a capability of ASuW? You know one of my friends, he is a lecturer in radio, radar and navigation in an university. When I asked him this question, he said that since 2004, the tomahawk IV was capable of limited ASuW, then very recently, with improvement on data-link and processor, it can do this job better than before. In the future with new sensors on board, it will truly finish this job. So what are your opinions on this?

The Tomahawk 4 is an old and unstealthy missile with new sensors and is thus most likely only good enough to be used as an ASuW against lightly or unarmed vessels, as it's simply to unstealthy to have any meaningful success rates against moderate to heavily defended targets. For these you will need a modern and stealthy dedicated ASuW missiles like the Naval Strike Missile or LRASM.

The only advantage of TACTOM is the extreme range, it may not be practical against warships upfront, but very sensible to be used as ship interceptors when there's a ship that really need to be deal with, while it is escaping, or far too away to get your jets toward it.

Providing with mid-term guidance support from AWACS, TACTOM can be vastly useful in that circumstance.
