As of this morning I signed off on the manual design as well as submitted second release candidate to matrix games, we are getting really close to release date ;) The manual was the last major task on my to do list...after 10 years and one month of hard work, finally!!!

Incredible Peter, I didn't know/hadn't picked up that you have been working on this for quite so long. It's to the benefit of all of us that you stuck with it, I wish you every success.

I'd love to be able to take a concept like this and make it real, it must take great skill, patience and dedication. Hopefully everything goes well enough to keep you at it for 10 more years

Thanks guys for all your support!!! Well, 10 years wasn't full time, so from that perspective it would be about 5 years or so. This is a labor of love hobby project, the most challenging and the most satisfying thing I have done in my whole life :) I'm very happy that I can now, after such a long time; share the result of such a long time of effort with the Wargaming community :D if I can do it, anyone can!!! The trick is, one small piece/component/feature at the time...that's my magic secret.

Cheers!

Very good. Looking forward to this.

Are the old SL berserk rules for Russians in the game?  I recall one game where a German tank fired on a Russian platoon on a hill from about 10 hexes away.  All of the squads passed the berserk check but not the lieutenant, so off he goes to assault the tank (nearest enemy unit) with nothing more than his pistol and a patriotic pride.  What the hell is the LT doing??  I don't know!  Too funny.  Ah, memories of SL gaming back in the 1970s...

Boy that brought back memories of the Old SL game. I Would love to see this game or any other squad based game integrate the "Berserk" behavior. That was always fun to watch play out!

Wow guys, thanks for all your support...it's nice to see SL/ASL fans here ;) I hope you enjoy the game, I will be here providing support ;)

I also wanted to say thank you to all beta testers that have supported me for the past 8 months!

The graphics art was done by Steve Ford, he worked on many SSG wargamers like The Ardennes Offensive (TAO), etc.

Cheers!

Can't hardly wait...

Old SL/ASL player here.

My first wargame was Squad Leader. Convinced my mom to buy it as my Christmas present.
