Hola. Sad news. The Big Companies don't like those little Grognards makinkg fun and tanks. :mad: I own East Front II. I like it. I have readed in Wargamer.com about Talonsoft news. Seems main programmers want to fund a new wargamer's company/enterprise if I remember correctly. Visca Sant Jordi!!! :cool:

That's strange. Talonsoft not too long ago annouced the development of an Arab/Israeli war take off of the East Front game system. I wonder if that will continue to release or not now.

To be honest - I don't like the whole 'ground combat' series by Talonsoft (that with the pseudo 3d hex view). I never really understood how firing as resolved - had PzIb mow down BT-7 and PzIII just hole the air. Don't get me wrong I love hex strategy games - but Taloonsoft made those games with a meager if not bad interface that I gave up trying after a total of 10 turns ... But the Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich were real good games :) Esp. the first I played for weeks :) murx

A sad day indeed. There are many who have had their differences with Talonsoft, but i think it was mainly with personnel (thank goodness for Matrix). I happen to thoroughly enjoy East Front II, West Front, and Rising Sun. However, anytime a member of the wargaming community goes down, it is a loss for all of us. Panzer Captain

Do not dispair the game engine is alive and well at HSP. The scale has been changed from platoon level to battalion/company level and is alive as Smolensk '41 and Normandy (massive) and Karkov '42. Makes for some very intersting games since the scale is the same as the old Atomic Games World at War series. Network and PBEM playable. http://www.hpssims.com/
