I tried one bombing raid on Polesti. My guys did not even want to fly.

What is the best Russian bomber for these long raids?

Probably IL-4

if you have any, the B-25s carry a better bombload as does the Pe-8 .. but the Pe-8s are real truck and supply hogs

Clap v Malinosky.

Really

Well, your basic odds were less than 1:2 so if anything it's surprising the 2nd attack succeeded unless you did a much bigger attack

I have found that many units in supply are now shattering in lei of retreat.

Since the last beta. The beta started around these turns.

Vetinghuff v Bobkin

Not sure if the trapped units were saved. A little anticlimactic.

Here my flank troops end up being cut off with Germany committing all his armor. I think.

Thus the air supply bomber casualties explained

You might want to look at Loki vs Vigabrand for possible consequences of defending this far forward in summer '42. It's one of those options labeled: Not really recommended.

At least I now know where his tanks are, thus other sectors can continue attacking.

Also, this is the strongest Russian army I have ever had and at points I can counterattack with good localized power.

German army has not had it easy here.

What shall I do now was the question.

and ......

Then I study the situation.

I start attacking the area about 6,7 hexes east of Kursk and low and behold we find......

And open avenue to go deep behind lines, attack airbases and maybe....

This was a key battle to opening the large hole.

His Hq was OKH. What's up with that. Kluge is no good in the field.

Now I start thinking: can I cut off his tank force with a deep running tank corp.

Can I attack north out of the pocket and seal the pocket or south with a tank which would be a hasty attack.

Who would get sacrificed for the motherland. You can see two tank corp with 50 mp waiting to move.

I decide to go......

good move, I agree that its sometimes worth chucking away an early Tank Corps for the disruption and chaos they can cause behind the lines, I think some German players forget how easy it is to get them to 50MP and its that mobility that is the real benefit not their weak combat value

Looks like HQs and airbases on the menu.

One of the ways the real 2nd Battle of Kharkov could have went.

Wow that's aggressive! Love it.
What you wouldn't give for a fueled up 86+ morale mobile division in that situation. A quick drive around Kursk and half the Luftwaffe would become scrap metal :)
You need balls of steel and talent to play like this and get away with it. Good luck.

Why am I not enjoying seeing this

I will try to be more careful.................

I reckon there is a good chance of isolating Pelton's armour in turn as well as having a bit of a rampage in his nether regions

You must be seeing a mirage as our game is certainly not going to end up like this match.
