Does anyone have CMSE running on wine in OSX? I can get the game to make it to Turn 1 but then it crashes when it tries to save the end of turn btl file.

Status: offline 		have you also installed all the pre requisite and does it give any error codes or just close?

what you using?

Boot Camp or another emulator?

Status: offline 		I'm using Wine (i've tried 1.7.55, 1.8, and the beta 1.9). I believe I've got all the prerequisites installed (I use wine to play various Windows-based wargames on my mac). Everything works totally fine til I get the prompt to save the battle.btl file when you hit End Turn. It throws an "Error 102" and says it has a "file open error" when opening the engine.log file. It seems like it's probably got something to do with permissions in the wine emulator but I haven't found a solution!

Status: offline 		is there way to run the game as admin which will give the permission to write, which atm it may or may not have etc, i don't use it Wine / Mac's etc, just a guess but nothing lost trying

I've been intending to test CSME on OS X Wine. Maybe I'll give it a whirl this weekend.

Status: offline 		Looks like I got this problem sorted. I was getting the same error when saving so what I did was going to "Configure Wine" and from there Windows Version = Windows 8 (instead of default Windows XP) and now the saving works. Seems to have some kind of effect on file permissions.

Scenario editor and OOB editor works too. Map editor launches but for some reason the map tiles are not shown, just eternal blackness. Menu is shown though. However the actual scenario gameplay seems to be fine now!

Installed through PlayOnMac. Couldn't get it working by installing manually using Winery for some reason. Engine used here is 1.7.26. OSX Mavericks.

CSME continues to run well in Wine on my Linux netbook. Glad to hear you got it to run in Wine on Mac also.
