Norrland Defense, 1981 (SwAF)

This is a rework of my mission with the same name that you might have seen but this is set in 1981 instead of 1990. This changes the mission drastically as capability on both sides are way different then they were in 1990. In this variant i'd say the Swedes have the overall technological edge while in my older mission the Soviets do. I would like feedback on difficulty etc. as the older equipment completly changed the dynamics of the mission, thanks.

Description
Defense of Norrland and its strategically important F 21 Lule� Airbase and Lule� Harbour from a pre-emptive Soviet strike to prepare for a full blown invasion. Finland fell in recent weeks after a year of war against a vastly numerical superior foe while the outside world was looking on hoping to contain the conflict to the region. As it turns out that seemed to be foolish and naive!

Features

Models the Swedish doctrine of airforce dispersal to road bases.

Advanced weaponry is somewhat limited, outdated stockpiles and platforms will also be used.

Quick Turnaround is heavily featured due to it being a part of Swedish doctrine.

Most of the units on both sides should have their real names and locations.

On the basis of Mattebubbens feedback through Steam and my own research, i have made a number of changes to correct the OOB of Sweden in this mission. I also added a number of helicopters that was newly added in 1.10 that better represent the actual helicopters that would be deployed there.

Replaced 213. jaktflygdivisionen (JA 37) with a relocated 132. jaktflygdivisionen from F 13 (JA 37).

Replaced the fighter wing of 212. jaktflygdivisionen (JA 37) with J 35D Drakens instead.

Changed name & composition of the helicopter squadron.

Changed the briefing to reflect changes and errors.

Changed the composition of Soviet forces due to the large number of rear aspect only aircraft.

Added 213. Attackflygdivisionen (Sk 60B) light attack aircrafts.

Removed Hugin class missile boats.

ASW helos somehow have they WRA set to HOLD all types of targets, or is it some kind of a glitch I got here?

They shouldn't have weapons hold, sounds weird will take a look.

Pretty nice all in all. Although I somehow got WRA/RoE messed up. Or was it messed up already when I started (well this was a repeat of a previous post).

I got screwed by helicopters. When they came in, I had no CAP aricraft aloft or ready. The damage was not that bad, but they have beaten carp out of my two ships. The damage to hulls was minor, but weapon mounts were obliterated. Then the "small stike" 20 minutes before end did some more damage (I had some CAP but not enough), but again not much.

I arguably have a wish that you (and everyone for that matter) name the scenarios which have more difference in the name than years. or have some Season/Episode indication clearly in title.

For example if I have scenario named Apocalypse 2056, I can easily miss the new scenario Apocalypse 2065. Because the names are confusing, as you can see in the example. Which was exactly what I did with your -1981 scenario.

Better naming would probably be to add descriptive name, or to add something indicating there is a series of similarly named scenarios, like Norrland Defense Series, 1981. Or Norrland Defense Episode 02, 1981; the order of years vs. episodes does not really matter, what matters is some clue so I can identify the scenario as part of series and check which episodes I did play and if this one is new.

Thanks for the fairly detailed AAR AlexGGGG. I'll try to see if i can rename the missions, and it is indeed confusing even for me and honestly, i forgot i even put those hinds in there myself... I'll probably reduce the "small" package a little bit.

How did you fix the WRA/RoE problem?

Edit: I found the error in the RoE/WRA aswell, it should work now. Thanks for letting me know.

I went to game-wide WRA dialog, (Game - Side doctrine/EMCON/WRA on the main menu), set it up as I wanted it, and clicked "Reset affected missions" and then "Reset affected units".

As far as difficulty goes, I don't think it needs any change. Quite nice as it is now.
