Working on this scenario and I need a place to write out my thoughts :) And if anyone wants to contribute feel free. Club Med: Background: Syria has been undergoing a civil war since 2011. Every year has witnessed more territory lost by the government and more chaos in the country with more foreign born radicals entering the country to wage jihad against the Syrian government. While territory is lost by the government former locations of functioning air defences and airfields have been put out of action-limiting Syria's defence capability. As a result Syria has signed a secret deal with Russia, allowing the latter to station air assets unconditionally at Bassel Assad Airport, outside Latakia, indefinitely. Rebels have been able to capture cold war era tanks such as the T-54 and T-55 and several IFVs. During the fight between the rebels and the government, ISIL has been able to plant itself firmly in Syria's east, capturing Raqqa, beseiging Deir-Ez-Zor AB, capturing the Tishreen Dam and moving closer to Aleppo. With recent Kurdish advances against ISIL, with help from US airstrikes, the Kurds have been able to capture the dam intact. However, the recent chemical attack by the Syrian government and the recent show of force by Russia in the Middle East, has proved too much for the US administration to remain silent and has secretly entered an agreement with Turkey France and the UK to act. Germany and other NATO members are not included and this is a not a NATO operation. Who to expect on the ground: Syrian Armed Forces, Syrian Rebels, Russian S-400 defence systems, ISIL, UK Special Forces, US Special Forces, Kurdish Militias, Civilians Who to expect in the air: Russia, United States, United Kingdom, France and Syria. Along with minors (Hezbollah, NDF, Rebels) using homemade UAVs Who to expect in the water: United States, Russia, France, Civilians Playable Sides: Russia---US/UK/France---Syria Each side has their own differing objectives and will push the player, regardless of the side chosen, to inadvertently crash into the other sides, hence escalating the situation further. ------------------ I do need some help finding the complete composition of the Russian ships in Syrian waters, so if anyone has a reference, please feel free to add here. Russian Air Force assets are complete at Bassel Assad Airport
