Welcome to my 2nd running AAR, a full 9 hour realtime campaign for Waterloo

This will be a video based AAR with some nice pretty pictures in it. Each video will be 20-mins to half an hour in length. Take note I will NOT be using HITS and will just be playing on normal difficulty. The controls are questionable enough without adding an extra layer of complication to it

Something to note is that the order of battle is not exactly complicated. Each individual unit is a regiment, two or three of these make a brigade. Two brigades make a division along with an a few cannons and maybe a horse regiment. And four divisions make a corps which is commanded by the HQ Armee Du Nord, which is commanded by Ney and Grouchy, whom respond directly to Napoleon. Commanders will be named until brigade level. I am not sure if everybody listed in these OOBs were at waterloo, if this details the entire campaign itself

FRENCH OOB

ARMY - Armee Du Nord

Napoleon Bonaparte
Micheal Ney
Marquis de Grouchy

FIRST CORPS - Drouet D'erlon

First division - Quiot Du Passage
Two brigades of four reg, 85 cannon

Second division - Francois Xavier Donzelot
Two brigades of four reg, 89 cannon

Third division - Binet de Marcognet
Two bridages of four reg, 85 cannon

Fourth division - joseph duret
Two brigades of four reg, 84 cannon

1st cavalry division - charles claude jaquinot
Two brigades of five regiments, artillery reserve 6 cannons

For the sake of simplicity and laziness, I am not going to list the other corps as they pretty much all look like that, with the exception of cavalry reserve corps, auxillary equipment. This battle consists of five basic corps the first, second, third, fourth and sixth, four cavalry corps and the imperial guard. But i know one corps, i think it was the third, was blocked at the Battle of Wavre, stopping a ton of soldiers from participating in waterloo

Waterloo

11:30 AM

Friendly Disposition

As you can see the map is absolutely hideous in game, so I am going to be using the map below to show my battle plan

In the post above is a very basic battle plan which will be shown in a video. The primary thrust of the attack will be done across the field by the I Corps under the Comte D'Erlon. The first four divisions will form the main front of the attack, however Durutte's division will attack the western part of Papelotte. To the left of the farmhouse is an orchard, skirmishers can be deployed there to take potshots. While the rest of the divison can attempt an encirclement. Jaquinots First Cavalry can help protect the division from attack.

On the opposite side of the battle field, the II Corps under Honore Charles Reilles. The 6th Division and 9th Division under Jerome Bonaparte and Miximillian Sebastien Foy will attack the Hogoumont and fan out after, hopefully a cavalry charge by Kellerman can break the Allied Left

Now I know how the attack on the Hougoumont failed and I am pretty much doing the same thing, however I hope that by taking direct command of the divisions situated there, I can force out the defenders and rake down the lines of any counterattackers. I may even send elements of Bacheu's division under Erlon to shield them. Meanwhile while all this is happening, the infanry of the imperial guard and Lobau's Corps will fan out to the attacking divisions previous positions with an emphasis on the French right, hopefully this will be enough to protect myself from Bluchers assault when he charges through the Bois De Paris. Hopefully by then I will have captured Papelotte and can use that as a fortress to stave off their assault.
